Should There Be Only One Zelda Per System?

Quite honestly, no.

It seems that every time another game was released on the same system, it worked. And it worked very well. LoZ was great, AoL would've been if people didn't care so much about it being hard.

OoT, MM, both were very good and very amazing games, and are constantly on people's favorite's lists.

Later, it gets kinda iffy, but that's more Nintendo's fault it seems, and people's craziness a little bit in there with liking nothing that comes out.

But the system seems to work.

Okay, second half. People can't wait. It's been proven. Multiple times over. So, if we only have one per system, then those people would get incredibly angry and annoyed, such as they are right now. They are either:

Completly ignorant to the fact that there are two systems out at a time, such as Wii and DS.

Or, they don't care about the DS at all and refuse to try it because apparently it's all the little kiddy games, and only care about the wii.

I don't think there should be only one per system. Two or three games has worked well in the past, why not keep it going?

In my oppinion I think they should squeez in as much zelda as possible. like their other games. No one wants to go out and buy a system for that game only and then do it again. I really wish nintendo would just stick with the wii so i dont have to go out and buy the next nintendo for the chance to play the future games to come.

I think 2 zelda games per console/handheld is perfect. If you make only 1 game per system the fans will be angry, if you make a lot of zelda games per system the fans will also be angry because they will see it as Nintendo abusing the zelda series as a milkcow. Just look at games like guitar hero or the sims. They make so many sequals that it starts to get annoying.
We don't want sequals that are the same as the original but then with some minor differences, we want something new and creative. Games like that take more time to develop than a shameful sequal, so we have to give nintendo enough time to develop something awesome.

I'm not really to concerned with the "proper number" so much as I am more concerned with whether or not Miyamoto will spin a new Story for me to go through. Personally, I'd like to see as many as Nintendo deems feasible, and not whether it will be too much or not. If you're worried over whether or not the next installment for the Wii will feel too much like Twilight princess... then first, take a look at Majora's Mask... did it REALLY feel like just an OOT copy?

Not really... it wasn't the game mechanics that got you hooked... you were STILL just playing an N64 zelda... but the STORY was so much different and compelling that you just had to continue playing. Personally I thought Majora's Mask was the best of the N64 titles, even though OoT is considered to be the "official" N64 installment as some have posted here. Secondly... take into account that the upcoming Wii installment is going to take advantage of new features (the Wii motion plus) so already we know that the mechanics might end up being different than what we're used to. So even though we'll still be playing a Zelda title in a Wii console... it won't (I hope) honestly feel the same as if you were playing another twilight princess copy. Again, even with the new game mechanics, that's not ALL that will set it apart. The story has to set it apart as well.

Because even if they used different game mechanics, if they just did another ripoff of any of the previous game, it will become a disappointment. You'll end up saying to yourself "Well this stinks... I already played this back when it was called -insert previous zelda title- the only thing different is how I swing my sword... big deal"
