Should Hero Mode Overwrite Your File?

HM definitely shouldn't erase your current file; there's no reason for it to do so.

I was SO ANGRY when it deleted my file, i didn't know i needed to duplicate my file i thought it wold have just saved elsewhere like every other Zelda game with a new mode does but when SS did that it was the final straw, i didn't like it much to begin with but god erasing my file was an evil thing to do, i'dve gone through it again but after it erased my file for hero mode i felt forced to go through it again to get another complete save. Sooo annoying, bad move nintnedo.

no ibelieve it shouldn`t it shouldn`t write over ur file because the feeling of ocomplishment is gone with the harder game and u have to complete it all over again

You can always duplicate your file. If only I had done that before it reset it...

as much as i would want to play skyward sword all over again, i wish i could still have a file that i could still venture out and do 100% on.
