That is what I'm thinkingPersonally, I'm a bit skeptical on how the new combat works but I think it'll be pretty interesting to at least give it a shot. What do all of you think?
Yeah, there's no point in fixing what isn't broken but spamming enemies will probably be fun. That is what I'm thinking
Aonuma has been obsessed with “fixing” what isn’t broken for the past decade. This is a trend for him.Yeah, there's no point in fixing what isn't broken but spamming enemies will probably be fun.
Yeah that's true, although he's been able to impress so far so I have decent hopes for EoW.Aonuma has been obsessed with “fixing” what isn’t broken for the past decade. This is a trend for him.
I am excited to see how Zelda will fight with her powers. Nintendo could just have given her the Estoc from Twilight Princess and had her play as a Link clone. But they didn’t! Which is a good sign that those fearing this is, “anything you can do I can do better,” is not the case, rather Hylia has unique skills.Personally, I'm a bit skeptical on how the new combat works but I think it'll be pretty interesting to at least give it a shot. I agree. I think we will see a lot more puzzle solving since this is the Champion of Wisdom instead of Courage.I think it will be interesting to explore areas where, as Link, you would use your weapons and items to complete it, but instead doing something completely. Being I'm those same scenarios but with an entirely new style of combat and puzzle solving will be really cool. Kinda make you rethink your entire problem solving mindset. I think it would be especially cool if they let you explore those same areas as Link and Zelda seperately.
Yeah I think that's a really good thing that we solve puzzles in new ways now. I was playing OoT the other day and I had to take a moment to appreciate the fact that Zelda has really good puzzles, and having a new twist on it for EoW will make it a lot more interesting.I think it will be interesting to explore areas where, as Link, you would use your weapons and items to complete it, but instead doing something completely. I totally agree with that. One of the reasons I thought Wind Waker was too easy, and maybe this is just because it was a later game I played, was that the puzzles were really predictable. Just walking around I was like "Yep, need some sort of hookshot over there. Yeah, that's gonna be a mirror shield." The puzzles were good, but become predictable with every game taking a similar approach.Yeah I think that's a really good thing that we solve puzzles in new ways now. I wouldn't call TotK awful, I think it had some ups and downs. But it definitely wasn't a 6 year game.Zelda’s puzzles as of late haven’t exactly been good. I have a hard time getting excited when they’ve made it abundantly clear that they’re carrying over the same “solve the puzzles any way you want” crap that made TotK so awful.
Very true, I'm excited to see either way.hard to know what to expect w/ how they'll handle combat this time, only time will tell
