Most Interesting Zelda Theory

Hello nerds! I'm always interested in finding and coming up with new Zelda theories to think about when I have extra time on my hands. Recently, I've been watching Zelda theory videos on YouTube and there are a lot of good ones, as well as downright silly ones. What are some Zelda theories that you find to be the most interesting, whether it be a popular one or your own?

My favorite theories are usually the ones that involve MM. (Big surprise, I know.) My favorite theory is the idea that there is a fourth piece of the Triforce and the Fierce Diety is the one who owns it. And as generic as it is, I like the '5 Stages of Grief' MM theory. It really interests me but I think that it's just a mere coincidence.

I know it's disproven, but my favourite by far is the Link is dead in Majora's Mask theory.

I like all my own theories. Particularly that the Hylians are all on drugs in OOT and the Lakeside Laboratory scientist is a manufacturer.

I also like the theory that there is one dark tribe that has been around since the time of Demise, working behind the scenes and although it is known by different names, it is the same one referenced all throughout the series.

I also like to think Eldin Volcano was renamed death mountain because of the Goron's genocide against the mogmas that occurred on its slopes.

I too like the renaming of Eldin volcano to Death Mountain theory, but I never heard of the Goron genocide against the mogmas:eek:
A theory that I just heard of is that Gramps from ALBW is Link from ALttP. This one really interests me. I just started playing ALBW, so I look forward to seeing this guy for myself.

This one is certainly plausible, and I firmly believe it's what the developers intended. The hints and connections must be more than mere coincidences. Why else would he be the only boss to truly match Link's strength if he's not Link himself? Also, he knows a lot about Link and carries Link's weapons. Not to mention he creates Dark Links for you to fight. It all lines up.

I came up with the theory, it was on this this site but before you joined so that is why you may not have heard of it.

My 100% proven theory is that every Zelda game is a dream EXCEPT Link's Awakening except at the end where when Link "wakes up" he goes into the dream world again

This was confirmed in an MM3D press conference by Aonuma (I believe? Can't remember exactly who but I know it was confirmed)

My theory is that every Zelda game is a dream EXCEPT Link's Awakening

Actually he deconfirmed that one. Saying that he wasn't specifically going for the five stages of grief

Although I don't at all support it, I actually loved the Link is dead theory. When I first heard it, I thought it was the coolest theory of all time. I have since realized what BS Game Theory is and how untrue the theory is, but I still find it quite interesting.

Yeah, it's definitely not true, at least since Twilight Princess came out. I still think it makes a lot of sense, and it's kind of my headcanon when playing Majora's Mask.

The coolest theory I have ever heard(not really a theory) is the Hyrule Historia timeline. It is so cool! My favorite actual theory is that link from oot is the famous skeleton trainer dude that teaches you the moves in twilight princess

Still don't agree with that theory.

I'm proud of some of my own theories, like my Hylia theory, Lost Woods Theory, and Happy Mask Salesman one. Some others too, like my SS two Zeldas theory.

I enjoy reading some of my fellow theorists' theories. Like JC-Hurin, Deus, Djinn, and Locke, to name a few.

My favorite theory is the concept that Termina and Lorule could have once been Hyrule. A tangent, or altercation in the timestream at some point could have created those lands.
