Mario References???

Most Zelda games I know of have hidden Mario references in them that are well-known or obvious, except for Wind Waker. So I decided to look for some. This is what I found. I'm quite uncertain though...

-Five Star Isles: M on Mario's hat?
-Ice Ring Isle rock formation: Bowser?

In Wind Fall Island there is a guy who resembles Mario, his name is Garrickson.

This is kind of the other way around but the singing trees in Wind Waker and the Luma from the Super Mario Galaxies. Not sure if that is correct but it seems like it.

They can both fly and they kind of sound they same when they um talk (rather make a text box appear) if I remember correctly.

I don't think a reference to Galaxy is possible in TWW. TWW was an '03 game, and Galaxy was '07. They're way too far apart.

Hmm, never thought about this. The only Mario references I know are the enemies from LA and the Turtle Rock enemies from ALttP.

That's why he said it was kind of the other way around. He meant that it was a TWW reference in SMG.

To be honest over the year I played WW I didn't see any Mario reference in the game and I took my time on that game
