I think that the logo is significant because the emblem or crest is pointed skyward. It may be that we will learn the meaning behind the symbol which has never been explained in depth, all I know is that it is a sign that the Knights of Hyrule carry with them on their sheilds, either symbolizing their own group or the land of Hyrule itself... It would be interesting if we saw a Flag for Hyrule, would it bear the crest in the logo? im not sure, but it could. Although I might be confused because I'm talking about the red version on the Hylian Sheild and I dont know if the red and the gold versions contain subtle differences. Like the gold means royal family, and the red mean knights of Hyrule (something like that).

As for the golden version I like to think it represents our heroes flight to and from skyloft in this game, but im unsure if this game is the one that the symbol is first created in since we saw a hylian sheild in the demo and it looked really nice, i really think it will be in the game... so I'm going to pitch an idea: I think Link will discover the Skyward Sword and other treasures left behind for some Skyward Hero that saved Hyrule sometime before SS, a hero like Link that sets the stage for this new game, it could be that this unknown hero was the reason the crest was created but now the master swords power is split and Skyward Sword knows why.

it just seems more relevant now... I mean it has to mean more in this game than ever before or else why would it be the logo?

Maybe this story will explain about the Triforce and Hyrule's creation. Maybe it'll explain why there's a bird under the Triforce. Probably something to do with the flight in the game.

What about OoA, OoS, FS, and FSA? They don't have anything in the title. And plus, that might not be the final logo. But if it is, it might be because it explains the founding of Hyrule, and how that symbol was created.
