Twilight Princess Link's Fate at the End of TP

I know that he was leaving Ordon because at the very beginning of the game, when Link and are talking, Rusl says "And far bigger than Hyrule is the rest of the world the goddesses created. Some day you will look upon it all with your own eyes." Almost leading to a sequel right off the bat. And it seems like Rusl has been exploring their, too. In that same dialogue is proof that Ordon is not part of Hyrule, but that's a different topic.

(Ordon village is in the Ordona province of Hyrule, it's not in a different country.. btw why else would they send a gift to the royal family?)

Then why does Rusl say "the Kingdom of Hyrule" that would be like someone from Florida saying "the country of America" it just doesn't happen.

A personally like the bored hero story, once they've saved the land things seem a bit too quite so the only thing to do is go adventuring and help people while feeding their own need for danger and victory. At least until they get injured or have sated their blood lust and decide to settle down and teach the local kids how to defend the village.

@Hero & Kokirion: It'd actually be more like someone in Puetro Rico saying "the U.S.A." since they aren't technically a part of the union but they are a territory of America (a.k.a. a province). In a feudal system like Hyrule both cities within the country and outlaying lands would pay tribute for protection in the event of an invasion, financial stability, trade routes, etc. You can actually see a few of those things in TP besides the in game quotes.

Link and Ilia's Relation

I don't think he left .

Link and Ilia seem to be in a relationship way before the game started . One clear indication (to me) :

Colin : "When i think i can't go on , I think about you and Ilia"

Just from what colin said right there , it seems like Colin is refering over a long period of time . I just sounds like it .

I personally think he is embarking on a new quest, as shown at the end of the game. He will likely travel outside the limits of Hyrule. And of course Ordona is in Hyrule! It's a Province on the map. The ranch is on the boundary between Hyrule and another land.

I thought this game was alright, but for some reason I feel they could have done so much more with this Link, and seeing him travel to a new land, I feel like the team could really make the sequel super incredible. It would be totally original, and I feel the graphics would fit it perfectly when Wii 2 or whatever comes out. I dunno, I'm excited for a sequel! I hope they make one.

I just assumed Colin said that because Link & Ilia happen to be the oldest "children" in Ordon. In the beginning it seems there's the start of a young love going on (probably due to lack of options...), but once Link goes on his adventures it doesn't seem as much.

Back on topic, I'm embarrassed to admit that I never noticed he's riding away at the end. I'm sure he stopped in when everything was done - check up on everyone, make sure the kids are okay, etc. - but it makes sense to leave. After all that, he's going back to work on the ranch? I'm sure he's out exploring new lands. Perhaps we'll see Termina again?

I believe that he is leaving, however, I haven't actually played the game for a few months. I beat it, and I've kind of gone on without ever really considering that.

I think he leaves Hyrule. The end of Twilight Princess deals with themes of parting and the way it seems is that he is leaving them and not coming back. If he were to stay in Hyrule, he could visit them anytime, it's a small country, but if he's off in a far away land it would be nearly impossible for him to come back. By the way it is presented you can tell that he is parting with everybody from Ordon and they can tell it's not very likely that they'll see him again soon. But who knows what the future holds?

He is not leaving, he is going back to Ordon Village. Before that scene he was at the mirror chamber, not in Ordon Village. So it doesn't make sense he's leaving because that means he suddenly turned arround (in the faron woods) and went back to Hyrule Field

love story

I think that maybe link wanted to be come and ambassador to the twilight realm to see if any of the twili could be reunited with the light realm but also maybe he might have been going to hyrule castle to see if Zelda had any feelings for him. I think that despite many fan fics that question has never been truly resolved. I also think that "The Missing Link" animated series led to that conclusion that even in Oot there seemed to be more between them then just damsel in distress and hero. I hope that nintendo either elaborates or shatters the Link/Zelda shippers just to give us closure or to give link someone else to care about. I think that link has started to get fed up with saving hyrule because of the way midna treated him in the beginning. does anyone think that midna would be welcomed back with open arms after her abandoning her people?

I first thought that he needed to save Hyrule again or something, but I believe it shows the Master Sword in the credits AFTER Link leaves Ordon Village. That can mean that all he was doing was going to put the Master Sword back with Rusl's Golden Cucco. I should know that Link put it back though, because I'm the Master Sword.
