Legends of Zelda: Retellings of the Same Story?

Going off on a tangent here, but could parallels like that be a result of a split time line trying to repair itself? For example, perhaps ALttP takes place in the child timeline, trying to syncronize the timeline by telling the story that happened on one side but not the other. Perhaps Link's Awakening and Phantom Hourglass are on different sides of the timeline, but parallel each other time-wise. And finally, maybe it's evidence of a third timeline, trying solely to bring the other two together again. Of course, this is all purely my wild speculation.

I like this. It makes sense, and just reading it without really doing anything, I can't disporve it.

it would probley ruin the game for some of us if nintendo came out and told us that. but i do not think it would be possible. there is just to many diffrent things in the game
