Fraxinus: ancient cistern duality
Fraxinus: the blocks that rise to make the sky explorable opens the earth and afdfdfd
Fraxinus: ....i just refuse to give up on getting to go underground i want underground
Fraxinus: actually uhhhh if hylia hid the triforce in the sky in ss then then then they hid demise malice curse underground yes duality give
Fraxinus: that is a coherent thought
Fraxinus: didnt the ss intro say that demise erupted from the ground originally
Fraxinus: i prolly should think about zelda theory more again cuz apparently i am still capable of having spontaneous ideas and probably should follow up on them
Fraxinus: if gratitude crystals are literally the opposite of evil crystals..... and gratitude crystals take the shape of force in st then the triforce is hylias gratitude crystal and is the absolute opposite of malice(tm)
Fraxinus: sms is gonna walk in here and yell at me
Fraxinus: maybe the ancient cistern prophesized the great flood
Fraxinus: the two forces separated by water between them..

I don't know how it took me this long to realize it, but the reason I hate the shrines and divine beasts is because of how sterile and alien they are. They don't have any personality, they don't have any thematics to them, there's nothing important about them whatsoever. Even the music being so otherworldly reinforces the fact that the shrines and beasts don't really belong in Hyrule

It's less of an issue in elden ring where even though the legacy dungeons and caves are still somewhat flavorless, they do fit in with the world of the Lands Between and they still have some kind of theme or identity, like Raya Lucaria being a magic school or mt gelmir being a volcano

While I hate this from a "what zelda is, was, and should be" perspective, it makes me wonder if the otherworldly aspect of the shrines will be elaborated on in botw2 (that's just a better acronym I'm sorry) and if they'll actually make it something that has narrative importance cause otherwise it's a pretty big fail
