How it feels to enter Deepnest

oh yeah another bug landed on my nose today. march fly and then she like walked up on my glasses lol

Why is it that when you encounter a bug it's like "oh hello happy human fren, I'm just buzzy buzzy don't mind me umu omo I will just bumble along on this bootiful day" but when I encountered a bug on Friday it was like "OOOUH LOOKIE HUMAN MWE HE HEE LET ME SNEAKY UP UP AND STABBY THE HUMAN IN THE NECK E HE HEE O HO HOOOOO" (it hurt, by the way )

How it feels to enter Deepnest

When I enter deepnest I spend the entire time on my couch screaming about the horrible skittery noises and how horrifying it is and why am I even there. Doesn't help that I got lost there once before getting a map lol.

i feel like there must be more context to this, i cannot answer. only that bug knows what happened or why that happened


but anyway, this feels relevant... found it on my flashdrive when i was diggin for memes earlier

also i went into the city of tears the 'normal' way this playthrough if not half because i didnt want to go into deepnest with the glare on my screen because that'd be even HARDER to see than the fungal wastes

It’s so creepy when some of those enemies get back up and then sprout wings while making lots of creepy noises.

The lack of music and honestly it’s my least favorite area. It does a good job of being creepy I just really don’t like it.

Also I got spooked a bit at that spider NPC that would talk to you and then reveal herself under the mask and I try to eat you. I should’ve seen it coming but I didn’t

the midwife i think you're talking about? i lowkey HOPE shes a centipede cuz hk has none but at the same time im not sure shes the centipede representation i want lol

deepnest has music though, its more ambient to enhance the other noises but theres def music in deepnest especially around the failed tramway. as opposed to a few other areas in the game where all you have is atmospheric drone.

i always worry that my made up words/names already exist and are unintentionally insulting in another language or something lol

I was so happy in deepnest when I encounter basic enemy types from the crossroads, I was like "oh hey, they're taking it easy on me, this is nice!" NOPEEE like everything else in deepnest they had to be creepy, when I killed one and I sprouted legs I almost screamed. The atmosphere is sooooo unnerving

i just saved bretta in this playthrough. it's a mask shard i always forget about after i rescue her and i just forget to go in her house

Yeah I’m talking about Midwife. She creeped me out

And yeah I know that it has music it’s just like with Dodongo’s Cavern it feels like a lot of unnerving noises and sounds that creep me out, especially after hearing the rest area theme from hot springs or stag stations
