Two questions, here. First, why do you think the graphics are poor? Second, why do you think Ghirahim and Demise are poor villains when they're not?

Ah the first is because they are poor, there is no denying that this is an SD game with jaggies all over the place and low res textures. You only need to look at these textures on a 40inch HD screen in the confined tunnels of the Lanayru facility to see they look washed out like a printed page that has had tea spilled on to it, there are ugly blotches of purple and it just does not look nice, like an internet picture that has been blown up to an inappropriate size. Another place where it is noticeable is after the sand pit has drained after the Molderach, just look up and see my meaning. Another example of where they were really bad is on the chained up area on the sand ship, those chains looked like they would look in place in the OOT era. The game would look much much better in HD which is why It I made a point of it.

As for your second query. I never said they were poor villains did I?

No, JJ. Those jagged edges are the worst I've seen out of -any- Wii game. Sure, there may be some that have far more, but SS deals with jaggies absolutely terribly. We're not talking about the art style, we're talking about the hard graphics. SS is bad in that department, which is why many prefer to emulate the game rather than use that nifty Wii of theirs.

Meh, the graphics are on the Wii. It's not fair to judge them compared to HD graphics. You have to judge them according to the Wii's standards, which, btw, makes SS's graphics frickin' excellent.

Personal view: i like how SS looks

but no that is just not right! That is like saying a book written by a 3 year old cant be compared to a professional author but by a 3 year olds standard its excellent

I'm pretty confused. I found SS to have some of the LEAST amounts of jaggies on the Wii. The graphics from E3 2010 sure had a lot of them, but those edges were smoothed out like it was nobody's business. Whatchutalkin'bout?

Actually, saying that is very accurate. If a story is written by a 3 year-old, you DO have to take that into account.

Doesnt mean the standard of the book is going to be good, maybe for what a 3 year old can achieve yes but doesn't stop it being what it is.

In that whole analogy thingy :P

What. WHAT. Are you playing SS on an SD TV? If so, that may be it. I don't have an SDTV in my house, all HDTVs. But that's besides the point since I play the Wii at friends' and my uncle's house -- I don't own my own Wii. Everything played with composite (even some with component) cables have jagged edges on an HDTV, but Skyward Sword is the worst offender out of all games I've played. Go to Skyloft, you'll pretty much have your edges turned jagged. The cutscene before Ghirahim I made me hit the Skip button, and not just because the dialogue is awfully slow.

No, you really don't. SS' graphics are bad, and that's that. For the Wii I personally would say they're terrible, but within the realm of graphics, SS' graphics are beyond terrible. I get less jaggies out of Super Smash Bros Melee for the GC.

Eh, SS's graphics aren't comparable to a 3 year-old's story to me, though. That's... wow to me (if you were serious).

Ofc not, i even stated i like how SS looks -.- it was just an example of a comparison of what you said, You said you cant compare SS to other graphics because it cant achieve them...well you can, its not as good graphically.

I have to agree with this. I did not really enjoy the new races all that much. Since we were told that it was to happen before OoT in the timeline, I expected to see Zoras and Gorons (other than the couple roaming around).

Its hard to pin point what I liked about the game, because honestly, I felt let down after I played it. The story was not all that great (imo), and the final boss... -___- I just dont even know how to describe my feelings about the game. If I had to choose a couple of highlights in the game Id say the Lanaryru dessert sea, sandship and the ancient cistern would be it.

Idk, maybe I expected more out of it than I should have.

The wii was released in 2006 which is a year after the 360, so the wii games can be judged against other 7th gen games. SS would have been better had the graphics been up to standard with other modern games. Then I could say that not only does SS play great, but it looks great as well. Right now I can say the first only. Whilst some parts were pretty other parts I would say were just plain nasty and detracted some enjoyment because I would see it and consciously be thinking 'this could look much better'. I don't want to be doing that. I want to be in the game immersed, with consistent visuals throughout. It's certainly a valid negative point for me anyway.

SS is not made by a 3 year old, it is Made by Nintendo, possibly the greatest game company ever.

I found them very noticable, Ghirahims diamond arena for the horde battle, those diamonds were just not right. I wish I could get a picture from my TV for you.

VanitasXII: Yes it most certainly would.

After reading everyone's comments, I realized I forgot to mention the graphics (Not the art style, the graphics). I have to say Skyward Sword's were poor for a Wii game. I have Gamecube games with rounder edges than some of the scenes in Skyward Sword, even though some of the textures in this game were amazing (Could have been better, but they were the best in the series so far).

Question. Were you playing SS on an HD or SDTV? Because HDTV's roughen SS's edges up like it's nobody's business.
