Hello fourm,
suppose you, as a creator, have to design a temple to guard treasures, power sources useful items or evil lair. How would you do it if it were in your hands to make a temple to make link's heart pound?

Mine would be an underground lair deep below kakirico village. The entrance is through a ladder in the basement of some major characters house. After walking through the short tunnel, you see a large stone structure with a head of a wolf on it. The wolf is missing an eye and an orange liquid is pouring out. You can fill a bottle up with this. Below the wolfs head is a message in red ink," only the bloodline of the ancient hero may enter." Then the missing eyeball appears under the message with a cut in it. Stab your sword in the eye and the door will open. Inside the first room is a large 60 ft hole down. There is a door to the right, forward and of course, the exit. There is a rope leading to the forward door, while a stone pathway leads to the right. As you walk to the rope, a gillateen drops on it. The door is far away so you go to the right. In the right room there is floor, no 60 ft. drop, there is a door to the south and the exit. In here are five staflos standing in a circle, in the center is a darknut. After taking them all out, a key appears. And the south door opens. In the south door is a small hole filled with water. In it is 12 octorocks. There is a door to the right and to the left. In the left is a complicated puzzle to get a key. To the right is a locked door. Open it to get a new locked door. In this room there are 2 pots with fairies. The locked room is the mini boss. The mini boss is a flaming skeletal king dodongo. (You beat him the same way you beat him in OoT but now you shoot him with arrows instead of slashing him with your sword.) After killing him the next door, to the north, unlocks. In that room lays the dungeon item, the hover boots. The exit locks and sand starts falling from the ceiling. There is a hole in the ceiling and you use your hover boots which, unlike OoT, let you fly for a short amount of time (5 seconds.) in the new room above the previous you can see the boss key locked behind some bars. In a large area where the floor is lower than the rest is a button, along with some large blocks. Do another block puzzle do get the boss key. In the room also is a door to the left. Go through to find nothing and fall back into the first room where you entered. Fly over to the forward door and open it with the boss key. Inside is a dark room. Walk forward and suddenly the lights will come on. The room is circular, with the stone floors and walls of all the other rooms replaced with marble floors and gold walls. In the center is a smaller circle of lit torches. . In the back of the room is a pedestal. Standing in the center is dark link. After a short cut scene of him waving around his sword the boss fight begins.

Phase I

In the first phase of the fight you fight dark link with all the sword skill you know. He will know all of them too unfortunately. Hit him three times and he will turn into a wolf.

Phase II

Dark link will now be in wolf form and sword attacks no longer affect him, so you turn into a wolf. Dark link will run around in a circle faster than you can. Every so often he will change directions. When he does press A and jump on him. Repeatedly tap A to damage him more. After three to four bites, depending on how much damage you do, he will return to phase 1, this time taking 6 hits. After the 6 hits a cut scene of dark link’s sword falling out of his hand and landing in the pedestal is shown. After a flash of light dark link is turned in to a dark child link. a piece of the ground grows up half way to the ceiling. Child dark link stands on top of it.
Phase III

Dark link will throw a boomerang at you. You must dodge it and then shoot a bomb arrow at it while he’s about to catch it. This will stun him and now you fly up with your hover boots and slash away with your sword. On the second time dead hands will pop out of the ground and make you lose ¼ of a heart every second. On the third, you lose ½.
After three hits dark link will fall off and the structure will fall back into the ground. The dead hands also disappear. Link then pulls out the deku mask. D
Phase IV

Dark deku link will fly around the circular room with the help of a deku flower. He will drop deku nuts, which take away 1 heart. Hit a flower with an arrow to decrease his height. Then pull him towards you with your clawshot. Slash away at his face until he flies away, regaining the flower. Repeat until the mask falls of and breaks. Dark link will then put on the goron mask. Dark goron link will roll around the floor dealing 2 heart loss damage for every hit. You must place a bomb in his way and time it to explode on him. He will be stunned and now you must slash away at his face. Once he is unstunned he will slowly chase you take this time to shoot his face with arrows. If he does catch up to you he will punch you, taking away half of your current hearts, until you reach ¼ of a heart then you will just die. After 6 shots to the face he will fall down. Slash away at his face again, until the mask breaks. In cut scene, child dark link will pull out the zora mask, which link then shoots with an arrow, causing it to split in half. He then successfully puts on the fierce deity mask. Dark deity link is very similar to phase I though sword hits now deal 1 heart instead of ½. Also dark deity link has no shield and is much easier to hit. After six hits the platform raises again, and he starts shooting sword beams from atop it. Circle around the room dodging the beams and shoot his head with an arrow. He will be stunned and if you try to fly up he will wake and shoot you with a sword beam so simply wait for him to get up. Repeat this until the third time where he will then fall off. Slashing him will be useless so you must instead turn in to wolf and press A repeatedly to bite off the mask.
In cut scene, dark link will run towards the pedestal with the shadow sword in it, but wolf link will beat him to it, transform to human and stab dark link in the stomach, killing him.
I don’t know what link would find in there, so lets say it was the ability to turn into a shadow and walk through walls and stuff, but he couldn’t do damage to enemies. Yeah that sounds good. Oh and he switches from shadow to human/ wolf by the shadow sword. On the pause menu the ordon sword is replaced by dark links sword. Oh and I know phase IV would be separated into different phases but they al went together so that’s how I put them. So yeah, uh , please tell me how terrible this is and I’ll tell you , if you make one, how terrible yours is two.

Mine would be and electric temple but I dont think I can go as detailed as guy did. but there would be a lot of electric currents and you would have to make them all flow to the boss door tho open it. The boss would be and electric monstor that you would take the energy away from using metal poles around the arena. :)

Here's mine.

My dungeon is a gigantic tower of twenty six floors, known as the Tower of Trials. It is mostly comprised of simple puzzles comprised of the themes of Forest, Fire, Water, Shadow, and Spirit, each ten floors taking a design cue from the various main temples in OoT and the last floor plays a melody of all the remixed tunes from the past twenty five floors while making a new environment as though you are in a stone tower. In order to progress, you must defeat all the enemies and solve the puzzle.

Floors 1-5

These floors consist of a Forest Temple like design, containing a remix of the Forest Temple theme from OoT. They have various forest enemies which are Deku Babas, Deku Scrubs, Giant Deku Babas, regular Keese, Spear Moblins, and Bokoblins.

In Floor 1 consists of 10 Deku Babas and a jet stream that activates when you defeat all the babas. The wind puzzle requires you to fire bomb arrows into a horizontal jetstream over a pit with a switch at the end. If you fire it directly into the jetstream, it follows it and should hit the switch, opening a staircase and allowing you to progress.

Floor 2 consists of 5 Deku Scrubs and when you defeat them all, a grating along the ceiling will open and a hookshot target will be accessable. This puzzle requires you to hook onto the target, and as you're falling, use the sword to hit a nearby switch, allowing you to progress.

Floor 3 will consist of 7 Giant Deku Babas and when you defeat them all, the room angle will twist and a hole on the ceiling will now be a pit into the next floor.

Floor 4 consists of 30 Keese and 4 Deku Babas. When they're all dead, 5 Green Bubbles and 5 Blue Bubbles will appear. After those are dead, Bokoblins, Skulwaltulas, Skultulas, and Gold Skultulas will appear. Finally, after that wave of enemies is dead, a boulder will squeeze it's way through the hole you were just in and follow you. You must lead this boulder to the western wall and quickly get out of it's way when it gets close. If done right, it will smack into the wall and reveal a hidden alcove with a switch. Smack it with your sword and it flips the tower again, revealing a staircase that you couldn't accesse before. Going up it will result in the final floor of the Forest Temple theme.

Area Boss: Phantom Ganon X
Floor 5 contains an exact replica, in all it's 64bit goodness, of the Boss Chamber of the Forest Temple in OoT complete with a near exact replica fight with Phantom Ganon. This time however, he is Phantom Ganon X and is much more powerful and much faster. The concept of the fight remains exactly the same as in OoT, but Phantom Ganon X causes a full two hearts more damage on each attack than he did before. He is also more competent when it comes to Zelda Tennis, and will take a couple more volleys for him to slip up. Defeat him and he will explode, leaving behind a Heart Piece and a portal. Go into it and you'll get your health, magic, and ammo replenished and find yourself in the next set of rooms.

Floors 6-10

Floors 6-10 are Fire Temple based floor and have Fire Toadpolis, Keese, Fire Keese, Wizzrobes, Red Bubbles, Ache Men, and Dodongoes.

Floor 6 consists of three Dodongoes, 10 Keese, a circular platform in the middle, and a lava pit all around the platform. When they're all dead, a staircase will rise from the lava next to the platform, giving Link access to the next floor.

Floor 7 consists of a circular platform, a lava pit, 5 Fire Keese and three Ache Men. After they're dead, a boulder will come out of the lava and chase Link. Link must bomb the boulder in order to blow it up and a crystal switch will appear. However, four Wizzrobes will pop in and summon it to where they came from. These Wizzrobes will summon other Wizzrobes that have the ability to summon monsters and they will all summon Keese, Dodongoes, Darknuts, and Fire Toadpolis. After they're all dead, the switch will respawn allowing Link to smack it with his sword and a staricase will rise from the lava, allowing Link to progress.

Floor 8 will consist of a few small circular platforms, a lava pit, 10 Fire Keese, 15 Red Bubbles, and a Dodongo. When they're dead, a staircase will rise from the lava, giving Link access to the next floor.

Area Miniboss: King Dodongo
Floor 9 has 15 Keese, 15 Fires Keese, 5 Red Bubbles, and 3 Dodongoes. When they're all dead, a gigantic Dodongo will appear. He is the same as a normal Dodongo in the sense that he will just whip his tail at you and breathe fire at you, but he requires bombs to defeat. When he sucks in air, Link will be slowly sucked in with all that air and he must throw a bomb into it's mouth. Should he fail and get sucked in, he'll be crunched and chewed and then spit out, along with a ton of fire which, in total, will do 5 Hearts of damage. Should he succeed and throw the bomb into it's mouth, it will explode inside the creature, stunning it, and allowing Link to slash at it's only weak spot: the head. When that's done, a staircase will rise from the lava and allow Link access to the final Fire Temple floor.

Area Boss: Volvagia X
Floor 10 is an exact replica (in every detail) of the Boss Chamber from the Fire Temple in OoT. And the boss, is a powered up version of Volvagia, known as Volvagia X. Alike the last Area Boss, Phantom Ganon X, the fight with Volvagia X is the same in concept, but Volvagia X is more powerful and faster. All his attacks however, do a whopping three hearts more damage than the original boss. When he's defeated, he'll explode to leave behind a Heart Piece and a portal that restores Link's health, Magic, and ammo.

Floors 11-15 are based off the Water Temple and contain a remix of the original Water Temple theme from OoT. The enemies consist of Water Toadpolis, Blue Tektites, Land Octos, Ocean Octorocks, Big Octos, and Cheep Cheeps.

Floor 11 consists of a room with a body of water and a platform on the south end. There are 4 Cheep Cheeps in the water and they are impervious to every single weapon Link has... from the outside that is. However, bombs will not work because the fuses will be put out once they hit the water, and the Cheep Cheeps don't come out of the water. So Link must purposefully get eaten by the Cheep Cheeps and slash his sword within 3 seconds to kill them, or it's game over for Link. When they're all dead, a jetstream of water will come rushing up and Link must get into it and be propelled up into the next room.

Floor 12 consists of a platforms in all the corners of the room, 3 Cheep Cheeps, and 5 Water Toadpolis. When they're all dead, four gigantic bombs will fall onto each of the platforms. They each have fuses that stay lit for three seconds, and they will explode, giving Link a game over... that is, if he's not underwater. Link must dive to survive the explosions and when they're done and over with, four alcoves will be revealed in each of the four corners and a chunk of the ceiling will break off and fall into the water, plugging the jetstream that brought him to Floor 12. Link must stand atop this chunk of the ceiling and fire arrows at all of the switches within the four newly exposed alcoves. If Link does it within 10 seconds, then the jetstream will become more powerful and propel the chunk of the ceiling, as well as Link, into Floor 13.

Floor 13 consists of a small room with 10 Blue Tektites and a pool of water. When Link kills them, another big bomb will drop down onto the platform, and give Link 3 seconds to dive. When the bomb goes off, the chunk of ceiling will be blown up and the jetstream will continue into the 14th floor.

Floor 14 consists of the jetstream hitting the ceiling and a staircase blocked by a grate, 20 Keese, 20 Ice Keese, ten Land Octos, and five Octorocks (the ones that are in water).

Area Mini Boss: Dark Link
When they're defeated, the room will morph and twist into a gigantic expanse with a small puddle all across it and a small, dead tree in the center on a small sandy island. At that island is Dark Link, whoknows single sword technique Link knows. To make things worse, he'll zap Link, which will make him drop his weapons, which Dark Link will promptly collect while Link is stunned. Then the battle begins. To begin with, Dark Link will not only block all of Link's sword swings, but also dodge and parry them, ala Wind Waker. Dark Link will use the Hookshot to pull Link to him and will promptly slash him with his sword. If the Hookshot hits the shield, it will pull Link close to Dark Link and if it hits Link himself, he'll lose a half heart. He'll also shoot arrows at you and if they hit Link, they'll do 2 Hearts of damage. And his biggest weakness if when he uses bombs. When Dark Link throws bombs at Link, he must pick them up and throw them back at Dark Link, at which point they'll explode and stun Dark Link. Then, Link must slash at Dark Link and repeat seven times until he's dead, and then Link will recollect his items automatically, followed by a warp portal opening to refill Link's Magic, Hearts, and ammo.

Area Boss: Morpha X
Floor 15 is an exact replica of the Boss Chamber from the Water Temple in OoT with the very same boss, albeit powered up and under the suffix of "X". Morpha X does a total of 4 Hearts more damage than the original boss on all his attacks while being faster and able to take more hits. He also gets extra arms, a total of four near the end, and there isn't a corner for you to hide at because you can only fight on one of the five platforms. When he's defeated, he'll explode to leave behind a Heart Piece and a portal that will warp Link to the next area as well as restore his Hearts, Magic, and ammo.

There'll be more to come later, but for now I've got to get to bed.

I've forgotten to answer my own question. I'd have around seven floors. One representing each element- almost sage type for each floor. Each challenge for each floor would be complex with obvious placement of strong enemies and minibosses. Most of the temple that I would create would be designed to tire and weaken my opponents for each floor. Making it nearly impossible to get to me on the seventh floor. But when they do, I'd have something really dangerous guarding the boss key.

My dungeon would be filled to the brim with cameos from other Nintendo series for the enemies. Even though some will seem out of place, they would pose a great challenge for Link. Plus, some seemed to work out great in A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening.

I would have 3 floors.

1st Floor, Five Rooms
You would start on the 1st Floor. The door leading to the boss is in here. You can only go down from here at the start as there are locks on three doors, and the other one would be pointless to enter for now.

Floor B1, Four Rooms
This room will be a floor filled with regular Zelda enemies. This floor has four rooms. One room with two Goriyas, defeat them for a small key. One will be full of Wizzrobes and Like Likes, defeat them all for a small key and the Dungeon Map. The third door will have a Moldorm in it, defeat it for a small key. The fourth room will have Dodongos, again, defeat them for a small key.

1st Floor, Five Rooms
You have a choice of either going through these floors, or going to the second floor. Going to the 2nd Floor for now.

2nd Floor, Four Rooms
This room will have enemies from the Super Mario series. Again, four rooms, but, all locked. use a key to open a door, and you'll find yourself having to navigate through hungry Pirahna plants coming out of pipes, use the Hookshot/Clawshoot to maneuver through them to get the Compass. Use another key to open the next door., and you'll meet the mini-boss of the dungeon: a Cosmic Clone, but of Link, defeat him for the Hero's Bow. Unlock the third door, to catch a break: three chests: one holds a Purple Rupee, one holds some spare arrows, the third chest with another small key. Open the last door to find a giant Goomba, defeat for a Purple Rupee.

1st Floor, Five Rooms
You still have one key right now. There are five rooms, one with the boss, the three with locks on them, one that is not locked. All of these rooms are filled with Metroids from the Metroid series. Go to the room without the lock on it. Run away from the Metroids for now, you can't kill them yet. There is a locked door within this room. Unlock it to obtain Ice Arrows. With the Ice Arrows, you will now be able to defeat the Metroids. Hit them with an Ice Arrow, then you can attack them with your sword to shatter them. Easier said than done. After all of them are defeated, you get a small key. Do the same in all the other rooms, when all Metroids are eliminated, the chest containing the boss key will appear back in the middle of the 1st Floor. Grab it, and head to the boos room.

Boss's Lair
The boss here would be an Omega Metroid. It only slashes at you with its claws. Wait for it to stop thrashing about and fire an Ice Arrow at it. Attack it with your sword. Repeat about four times. It'll get faster as you hack away at its health.

And yes, I am quite serious about this.

Idea 1. Time-traveling showed by present in the game. In the past, do an Ice-themed dungeon. In the future, the ice has melted, and a Water-themed dungeon has taken it's place. The two dungeons are in the exact same place.

Idea 2. Like Stone Tower Temple, this dungeon would require you to flip it. Expect that on one side is Fire-themed, and the other side is Ice-themed. You start on the ice side, do the mini-boss who is an ice creature, and get the Hammer. Flip the dungeon using the Hammer, and do the fire side. The boss is a fire creature.

Well first, I need a system that can handle loading more than 24 actors at once.

The dungeon I'd design is only 4 rooms, and is either a secret dungeon or the first dungeon in the game. Note that no items may be used aside from Sword and Shield.
Room 1
----
A narrow hallway with a heart piece in it, and a door at the other end. No enemies.

Room 2
----
A spherical room with bright lights. As soon as you take two steps in any direction, 10 INVISIBLE Skulltulas that cannot be L/Z-Targeted, two Lizalfos, and two Iron knuckles already activated, fall from the sky. A chest appears once they are defeated, and the chest contains...WEEGEE. No, just kidding. The chest has the Boss Key in it. The door to room 3 is invisible, and you must be wary that there is no Lens of Truth within the dungeon.

Room 3
----
Once you get into this room, you find that your movement controls are reversed. No biggie? Well, you can't use your sword either. The mini-boss in the dungeon is Phantom Ganon, except there are no paintings. Also, PG has 4 times the health he did in OoT, and his actions are carried out a lot quicker than before. The only way to beat him is shield bashing. Once you beat him, the Boss Door appears on the other side of the room.

Room 4
----
The boss here is Dark Link. He mimics everything you do, and to top it off, if you manage to use a cheat to get a certain two-handed sword, he'll automatically equip it, just to even the match out. Dark Link has 5x the hearts that you have, so if you manage to get all 20 hearts in the game (cheat?), he'll have 100 hearts to take out. Good luck beating him. If you manage to pull it off, TWO heart containers appear where he was felled, a chest appears near the entrance of the door, and a portal appears to get you out of the dungeon. The chest contains Double Defense (chainmail, Shield Spell, or whatever else it is called in other Zelda games). Good luck! >:D

Wow...intense comments!

I would work on something that hasn't really been done before. What if the entire dungeon was a giant 3D maze? Switches placed around the maze would turn the entire dungeon 90 degrees in a direction. Oh, and naturally, the bottom half of the entire maze is also flooded with water. Hmmm...let's add in Wallmasters and Redeads in each room and call it a day.

Can you guys send me a private message or a post on my page, otherwise this will become a complete tangent..... I am using my own system from scratch. I have been working on it for a year and a half now and it is in MC style. The boss is not anyone who was an enemy in any of zelda games in case you are wondering.
