At this point it's kind of a vibe thing.
My last big phone upgrade was going from a Google Pixel 3a to a Samsung Flip 3. It was a big screen upgrade, but also it could fold. The downside was that the screen protector keeping that fragile inner screen from hard started cracking within a year. I, assuming that the screen itself was cracking, put it in a drawer and went back to a boring Pixel 7a.
Until this year when I bought a ridiculous Fold 5. Now I carry around a small tablet in my pocket and keep my Flip 3 as the backup phone in case something goes catastrophically wrong with my main phone.
