I 100% agree with Axle.

On another subject, did we agree to a 7 day period in which the next mod in line can start their sign-ups? If so, it's been quite a while since MM mafia ended, so I think if Metroid is not ready then we should go ahead with the next one. The queue is long enough, and we don't need anymore delays.

Hello, I'm here today to petition for PK Flash and Dracomajora's game, "ZD Members VS Mods" to be moved up the queue as soon as possible. I believe that this shouldn't cause too much of a problem, as this is just one game that is (no offense) highly anticipated among DGN members. Therefore, those in favor of moving up their game, please reply showing your support. I hope that this is a one time only exception, as it is site related.

Or just wait like everyone else and not make one time exceptions.

Ok, let me rephrase that.

I'm sorry if that came of a rude or negative. That honestly wasn't my intention.

What I meant was other people have to wait too and it wouldn't be fair to bump that game up because it's more anticipated.

You can choose to agree with me or not, I'm not stopping you from signing.

It's just kind of strange that members who have already modded several games or have no mafia experience at all are higher in the queue.

Take a guess.

Like who? I see Pendio and Axle, who have both modded previously, but who has no mafia experience? I've played more than one game with all of the people ahead of Members versus Mods on the list.

No. This is stupid. Wait your turn, and that's that.

LOL

Seriously, who's Draco626? Second account for one of you? You guys are trying to manipulate the system to get what you want. That's not only rude and unfair, but simply moronic. The queue is a first come, first serve basis; it says right in the OP. It's not a most anticipated, first serve basis. That doesn't even sound right for a reason. Wait your turn.

Btw, if this comes off as mean and rude, you've read it right.

It is? I thought it was fairly straightforward that they blatantly signed up first. :P Way I figure it you don't have less right to mod a game just because you're new to doing it; if we ran things like that then people would get cheated out of their chance to mod quite often. I don't think we should make any practice of intentionally denying people their fair chance in the order they managed to sign up unless they themselves are okay with it; if you want someone to give up their slot so you can move up the list, feel free to ask.

Also, what are you talking about? Like Heroine said everyone on the list has played before and is experienced -- Pendio and I are the only victorious Serial Killers on the entirety of ZD, and I wrote the Mafia guide, for god's sake -- and as I already said, I don't see why it matters either way since we already agreed on having co-mods for new mods as a precaution against inexperience. As for the fact that I've already modded several... so what? I've patiently waited months to start my game of League of Legends Mafia, which I'm excited about. Don't see why you can't wait patiently for a game you're excited to play, as well.

Let me set the record straight before anyone else gets their panties in a knot: this is a shoutbox gag. We were having fun in the SB when the subject of PK and Draco's game came up, and for ***** and giggles I started a petition. Did I make it sound serious? Yeah, but that's what I found fun about it. We all knew we weren't going to get enough signatures, and we didn't even have a set limit anyways. I'm glad some of you could take this more seriously than others, but we really have no desire to move up on the queue (that's a lie, they're dying to start their game, but they know they have to wait).

Also, Axle, inexperience is the least of my worries. My main concern is inactivity. Looking at the queue, I don't know how often Linkdude gets online, so I can't say with certainty that he'll be able to get his game up and running in time. Heroine is notorious for being, at the very least, moderately inactive in most mafia games (not to sound rude, but it's usually because she's busy with other situations in life, and that's understandable), and I haven't seen Timeless active on here in forever. Just like Timeless, I hardly ever see Rachel on here either, which is a shame because I like her theme.

Oh, and just to clarify, Draco626 is NOT Dracomajora.

If you wanna continue this conversation further you can PM me.

I'll continue it here, thanks. ;)

Your post was completely serious in tone so it shouldn't be in any way surprising that it was taken seriously, especially since every post in favor was also completely serious -- even fairly easy to interpret as passive-aggressive in a few cases -- and you all let the joke run for a solid 24 hours. Glad you guys know you're going to have to wait, though.

Not... sure why you decided to bring up an actual complaint after saying it was a joke, but if a mod is inactive and doesn't reply I'd assume they're going to get skipped over. I'd recommend to Viral to just put that in the rules, but whether he does or not that seems like the common-sense way to handle that situation to me.

I never said it was surprising that it was taken seriously, and there was only one post that was even in favor (JC's), and it was a one-liner. Furthermore, I was just setting the record straight before it got more complaints than it already had. Also, yes, I did let it run on for that long, and I have no regrets about it.

I was just stating my opinion...
