Pretty sure Jabu Jabu is a fish and doesn't fly.

This whale is definitely not going to be Jabu Jabu... Jabu Jabu and Jabun never even reached close to the immense size of the flying whale, and neither of them fly for that matter... As for it being gaepora? ... Gaepora will probably become an owl later on before anything else... Since we do know that Gaebora Kaepora is an owl and they share a VERY similar name.

Gaepora is not a whale, how rude, he's just a bit tubby that's all. *joke*
Gaepora probably becomes the owl Kaepora Gaebora.
If we have seen this whale in any other game it will be the wind fish, in all likelihoods. Jabu Jabu does not fly. It could also be an entirely new whale with no connections to other games.
