So whether their music's your favorite or not, who're your favorite singers / vocalists?
And by the way, I include the term vocalists in case ya wanna put rappers and screamers down too. Even though they're using a different vocal style I figure they still make music so they should count.

This is my list:
10) Tim McIlrath of Rise Against
9) David Draiman of Disturbed
8) Adam Gontier of Three Days Grace
7) Geoff Tate of Queensrÿche
6) Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Stone Sour
5) Lacey Sturm of Flyleaf
4) Ben Kowalewicz of Billy Talent
3) Kurt Cobain of Nirvana
2) Chester Bennington of Linkin Park
1) Freddie Mercury of Queen

Freddie Mercury is and always will be my favourite singer. His technique is great, his range is incredible, and the amount of emotion he puts into each song is unbeatable. He was one of the greatest rock singers of all time and he created a legacy that nobody can match. Queen is one classic band that is still relevant to this day, and they will be for a long time. And it's because of Freddie. He made the band what it is, he is Queen. Hands down my favourite singer, and arguably one of the world's greatest.

I could name others, but they don't even come close to Freddie, and there are so many great singers I like that they'd take up a whole page and then some.

In no particular order...

Geddy Lee (Rush)
Jon Anderson (Yes)
Don Henley (The Eagles)
Freddie Mercury (Queen)
Paul McCartney (The Beatles)
John Lennon (The Beatles)
Johnny Cash (Johnny Cash)
Brad Delp (Boston)
Jon Bon Jovi (Bon Jovi)
Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac)

I not only took exceptionally high or low vocal ranges into account here, but also the general sound of the singer's voice. Even though they're not technically the best singers out there, some of these singers have very unique voices that can be recognized very readily.
