Creative Conversations IV: What if LoZ Came to Our World?

Well, in order to celebrate my 200th post, I'm bringing back my old thread series. I had ceased making them due to the utter embarrassment and failure of my original fourth one.

This time it's:
What if the Legend of Zelda came to our world?

What would the storyline be?
Who would be the antagonist/s?
Where in the world would it be?
Anything else that I can't think to ask?

Remember, this is just a "what if" thing and is to be treated as such, and not as a theory. I hope this will receive enough feedback as to convince me to continue the series even further.

Storyline: Link has to save everybody from the Illuminati/ oppressive government. Besides being modernized, the plot stays true to the series.
Antagonists: The government.
Location: Earth. Probably mostly in the U.S., cause that's where a lot of the political crap is happening.
Anything else: Weapons/ items are modernized versions of those found throughout the series, sadly no Gorons/ Zora/ etc. NO GUNS.
