Breath of the Wild Could This Be a Sneak Peek of ZeldaU Link?

If anything, it will not be a direct sequel, seeing as Twilight Princess's plot was pretty much wrapped up at the end. Ganondorf is gone, Midna returned to the Twilight Realm, the only link to said realm has been severed; there is nothing else. While a sequel would be neat, there sadly is nothing else to go on, meaning it'd only feel forced...

MM was a direct sequel and so was WW, both ended and wrapped things up perfectly, but both had immediate direct sequels. Also, if the wii u had realistic graphics, that wouldn't make it nearly the same as anything else. OoT and MM was the most realistic graphics the N64 could have. Twilight Princess was the most realistic graphics that the GC could handle. The Wii U's realistic graphics would be completely different than what the GC realistic graphics would be. Think of how good the upcoming first party PS3 games look "beyond two souls" and obviously the Wii U is capable of A L O T better graphics. So Zelda Wii U being realistic would be different than anything else.

I 100% agree but of course the fanqurls as well as Aonuma would not think so. They don't appreciate the depth of textures and what not. :I

Again by all means I would love a TP sequel but the chances of it happening with current Nintendo are low.

well true to an extent, the wii u's realistic graphics is would be way different that what would be seen on any other console. compared to the ps3 and 360 its leagues ahead, and compared to the xone and ps4 its way behind. So pushing it to its limits would have a very different outcome than other consoles. "especially with Nintendo developing it"

Actually, I would much rather see a Twilight Princess prequel. The plot, as was mentioned previously, was pretty much wrapped up at the end, so a sequel does not sound rational.

A prequel, however, is quite the opposite. There were a lot of things in Twilight Princess that had very little if any backstory, and a prequel could easily tie up those loose ends. For example, we could get a game revolving around the Dark Interlopers, and showing just how they evolved into the Twili race that we saw in the game. I would be very interested to see just how exactly that mysterious race came to be, and a game preceding the events of Twilight Princess could easily tell that story. A game like that could also explain the origin of the Light Spirits. Were they created in order to protect the light world from the newly evolved Twili race? This could all be explained in one game. A sequel to Twilight Princess would have nothing to go on in terms of plot, whereas a prequel would.

The ending of Twilight Princess certainly hinted that a new adventure would take place after the story, however I don't think Link's appearance in the New Super smash Bros is evidence that Zelda Wii U will be a Twilight Princess sequel. From the recent interviews with Aonuma, he stated that he wanted the artstyle to be unique from other Zelda games, but doesn't intend to use the Ultra realistic artstyle. For a Twilight Princess Sequel, I'd imagine the artstyle would have to be roughly the same otherwise it wouldn't make sense to have two different artstyles in the same world.

Actually, in TWW we see a Statue of the Hero of Time, OoT Link, rendered in the artstyle of TWW.

We got to see the same Link in two different artstyles.

That's fine, but if we are talking a direct sequel to Twilight Princess, like for example takes roughly a year after the events of Twilight Princess, only then it wouldn't make sense. The situation with the above is that it's not the Link in Ocarina of time, it's more of a portrayal of him, an image of what the Hylians thought he looked like.

Alright, so we can all agree this Link is sexy af? Good, now take a gander at this enormous version. Click for full screen.

Stop drooling, you.

This art is practically a rework of the Brawl model, but the in-game Super Smash Bros. for Wii U model does Skyward Sword Link some justice. Probably the colours, most of all.

The 3DS game appears more of that in Twilight Princess and Brawl due to the more washed out colours.

Interesting, interesting...

What was the point of this post? Nothing. I just want to stare at this model a little longer.
