336 pages... this thread has really come along. :) What's the threshold we're trying to pass, by the way? How many posts/pages/whatever do we need?

I have a few points of contention with Thread. Here's a quick review: I am now in a position to define what I mean when I say that we must tell the truth no matter who doesn't like it. What I mean is that there's a time to keep silent and a time to speak. There's a time to love and a time to hate. There's a time for war and a time for peace. And, I profess, there's a time to take up the mantle and defy Thread. Or, to put it less poetically, if there's one thing that Thread is good at, it's spreading the germs of hatred, of discord and jealously, of dissolution and decomposition. Thread's gestapo is an open-door asylum for impudent ingrates. How much more illumination does that fact need before Thread can grasp it? Assuming the answer is "a substantial amount", let me point out that if solecism were an Olympic sport, Thread would clinch the gold medal.

It's not necessarily difficult to seek some structure in which the cacophony introduced by Thread's effusions might be systematized, reconciled, and made rational. We can begin simply by providing an antidote to contemporary manifestations of putrid resistentialism. See? I told you it wasn't necessarily difficult. We just need to remember that Thread should clarify his point so people like you and me can tell what the heck he's talking about. Without clarification, Thread's stances sound lofty and include some emotionally charged words but don't really seem to make any sense.

I am reminded of the quote, "He is hardly the first proponent of unpatriotic fanaticism and he is unlikely to be the last." This comment is not as haughty as it seems because you should never forget the three most important facets of Thread's credos, namely their biggety origins, their internal contradictions, and their tendentious nature. Nature is a wonderful teacher. For instance, the lesson that Nature teaches us from newly acephalous poultry is that you really don't need a brain to run around like a dang fool making a spectacle of yourself. Nature also teaches us that the baneful nature of Thread's drug-induced ravings is not just a rumor. It is a fact to which I can testify.

Thread needs to stop living in denial. He needs to wake up and realize that he looks primarily at a person's superficial qualities such as physiognomy and mannerisms. I, in contrast, consider how likely a person is to invigorate the effort to reach solutions by increasing the scope of the inquiry rather than by narrowing or abandoning it. That's what's important to me. Either way, if he were to get his greasy hands on the levers of power he'd immediately snooker people of every stripe into believing that alarmism is a noble goal. If you don't believe me then consider that when people see deceitful pamphleteers behaving like deceitful pamphleteers they begin to realize that Thread's deputies have been staggering around like punch-drunk fighters hit too many times—stunned, confused, betrayed, and trying desperately to rationalize Thread's batty ballyhoos. It is sincerely not a pretty sight.

Well, let's get our facts straight. Like a verbal magician, Thread knows how to lie without appearing to be lying, how to bury secrets in mountains of garbage-speak. I'm not very conversant with his background. To be quite frank, I don't care to be. I already know enough to state with confidence that Thread is reluctant to justify his sententious practices to us "common people" because we "just wouldn't understand". Now that last statement is a bit of an oversimplification, an overgeneralization. But it is nevertheless substantially true.

I recently received some mail in which the writer stated, "Thread's mind games are based on biased statistics and faulty logic, which, in turn, invalidate the conclusions he draws from them." I included that quote not because it is exceptional in any way but rather because it is typical of much of the mail I receive. I included it to show you that I'm not the only one who thinks that he dreams of a time when he'll be free to bowdlerize all unfavorable descriptions of his expositions. That's the way he's planned it, and that's the way it'll happen—not may happen but will happen—if we don't interfere, if we don't celebrate knowledge and truth for the sake of knowledge and truth. All the deals Thread makes are strictly one-way. Thread gets all the rights, and the other party gets all the obligations. Now, I'm no fan of Thread's, but still, Thread's communiqués are not witty satire, as he would have you believe. They're simply the prissy ramblings of someone who has no idea or appreciation of what he's mocking.

I can't possibly believe Thread's claim that big emotions come from big words. If someone can convince me otherwise, I'll eat my hat. Heck, I'll eat a whole closetful of hats. That's a pretty safe bet because Thread has come up with proven methods to beat plowshares into swords. All you have to do is let your guard down. His subalterns have been seen sending the wrong message to children. Thread claimed he would take responsibility for this manipulative behavior, but in fact he did nothing to fix matters or punish the culprits. This proves that I claim that there are in fact many people who possess the intelligence, wisdom, talent, and ability to offer a framework for discussion so that we can more quickly reach a consensus. My goal is to locate those people and encourage them to help me bear the flambeau of freedom.

Thread extricates himself from difficulty by intrigue, by chicanery, by dissimulation, by trimming, by an untruth, by an injustice. I don't mean to throw fuel on an already considerable fire, but his supporters believe that he's an expert on everything from aardvarks to zymurgy. It should not be surprising that they believe this, however. As we all know, minds that have been so maimed that they believe that all it takes to solve our social woes are shotgun marriages, heavy-handed divorce laws, and a return to some mythical 1950s Shangri-la can believe anything, especially if it's false.

An inner voice tells me that Thread doesn't want us to shed a little light on some of the ignorant prejudices that reside within his pea-sized brain. He would rather we settle for the meatless bone of antagonism. Even his comrades couldn't deal with the full impact of his reportages. That's why they created "Thread-ism," which is just a recalcitrant excuse to hurt others physically or emotionally. In order to understand the motivation behind his disquisitions it is important first to insist on a policy of zero tolerance toward absolutism. We must restore our righteous rage and singular purpose to prevail over his prolix terrorist organization. To do anything else, and I do mean anything else, is a complete waste of time.

While Thread's semi-literate ramblings might be of some interest to specialists in child communication, he says that he wants to make life better for everyone. Lacking a coherent ideology, however, he always ends up making my worst nightmares come true. We can all have daydreams about Happy Fuzzy Purple Bunny Land, where everyone is caring, loving, and nice. Not only will those daydreams not come true, but Thread ignores the most basic ground rule of debate. In case you're not familiar with it, that rule is: attack the idea, not the person. Many people think of his censorious paroxysms as a joke, as something only half-serious. In fact, they're deadly serious. They're the tool by which querulous self-promoters will wreck our country, derail our civilization, and threaten the human race with extinction in the coming days. A second all-too-serious item is that I find it necessary, if I am to meet my reader on something like a common ground of understanding, to point out that all of Thread's loyalists are thieves—idle, envious, and ready to plunder and enslave their weaker neighbors. It's therefore not surprising that Thread somehow manages to maintain a straight face when saying that anyone who disagrees with him is ultimately neurotic. I am greatly grieved by this occurrence of falsehood and fantastic storytelling which is the resultant of layers of social dishevelment and disillusionment amongst the fine citizens of a once organized, motivated, and cognitively enlightened civilization. That's all for this letter. For those that don't like my views, get over it. I warrant that I have as much a right to my views, and to express them, as anyone else. So when I say that Thread pretends to put power into the hands of the people while actually depriving individuals of the right to convert retreat into advance, you can agree with me or not. That's all there is to it.
