When I first saw the name, I was thinking about other "chu"-name creatures, like Pikachu and Bombchu. Now I have heard somewhere that the -chu suffix originates from a Japanese onomapoteia(sp?) for "mouse" which seems legit to me in the cases of Pikachu and Bombchu, but I don't know if Chu-Chu...
