Twilight Princess is far better in most aspects. (In my opinion, of course.)
Fi annoyed the hell out of me. Everytime she popped up I dreaded it and most of her dialouge had 'captain obvious' written all over it. I tried to ignore her the best I could, which kinda sucked because I loved...
I loved it, just how a Twilight Princess should look. :) The only thing that really bugged me was how she was super tall, poor Link must have felt so small.
Fi only really had some sort of personality in the last 5 mins of the ending. I really didn't see ANY other character development from her. Sure, I understand Nintendo went for the emotionless, robotic sidekick this time round and wanted her to appear like that. But in my opinion you can't have...
This reminds me of how sad I was when I first went to the Sacred Grove in Twilight Princess and thought I was going to meet Saria or atleast some different Kokiri...but nope. ): I also wish for more Sheikahs, I was certain we'd see a few in Skyward Sword but there was only one.
Usually I enjoy games the second time more as I take things a bit slower, I'm better at the game and appreciate things more. Strangely for SS I enjoyed my 1st playthrough more. I think its because everything was new....but that could be said for every game the 1st time round. >_<
Sadly he was super easy, but thankfully the final battle still felt epic despite that. I think when I do replay Twilight Princess again I'll do a 3 heart challenge, that should make it harder!
Fi was far more annoying for me. Atleast with Navi I actually spoke to her sometimes, or actually bothered reading what she said. With Fi I found myself dreading everytime we were forced to listen to her babble on about something very obvious.
I'd like it if Ghirahim did survive, he is my favourite Zelda villian. It just doesn't seem very likely he is alive but hey, stranger things have happened!! It would be awesome if in a future game he becomes Ganondorf's Sword.
I'd like button controls. While I did enjoy the 1 on 1 sword play the motion plus provided..I just prefered being able to sit back, relax and button mash. Sure it's the lazier option but I just like it better. ^_^ If they did bring back motion controls I'd like atleast the option to also use...
Too bad they never really seem to explain it. I mean it seems like the perfect connection but...nope, the Dragon just hands you the shield and thats it!
I'd say Ghirahim. My favourite Zelda villian ever may I add. :) Here is hoping he somehow makes it into another Zelda game. Please Nintendo continue not using logic and bring him back!
I hated the Harp. All Link did was move it from one side to another. Also you only had songs for the story, unlike previous instruments which we actually USED. It was a big step down from what we have already had. ): It was such a huge dissapointment. In fact they could have just made it where...
Redeads or Floor Masters. I'm sure I don't need to explain why I hate them so much. I just realised neither of them were in Skyward Sword. Yay! ~~ We just had Ghirahim to creep us out instead. :D
Throughout the whole ending of the game I was sad just because I knew I'd have to wait for the next Zelda! Thankfully I'm getting Ocarina Of Time 3DS on Christmas so that should take me like...3days...at most to complete..... :( I told myself I would take ages completing Skyward Sword but I...
The cut scenes. I just couldn't wait to see the next one as they were emotional, action packed and some just outright funny. I shed more then one tear watching a few of them. :')
Oh god. The horrible, horrible memories that come back. I lost count on how long it took to get that damn heart piece. I was SO close to giving up. I never have any luck and was always landing one away. Lets just say that by the end when I FINALLY got it I hated that clown and his stupid...
Lucky you! Everytime I turned around I practically had one or two right behind me! Even when I was on the ground those things were after me. D: The fact they can go through walls aswell.....there really is no escape!
1) More towns! Sure Skyloft was big but it got boring quick, and the NPC's really didn't do much. I would have liked for there to be something like a Goron City on the surface too...or something for the small amount of life forms actually on the surface! It just felt too empty.
2)The Harp needed...
1) Will always be the Hylian Shield for me. Link just isn't complete without it!
2) I didn't hate it, I just didn't really like it either. I did find it good that you couldn't hide behind your shield though, I was doing a lot more backflips and ninja moves :P
Twilight Princess Link is my favourite. He showed a good amount of emotion in cutscenes and in my opinion has the best design. That sword spinning thing he did while targeting? Awesome!
Thats Nintendo for you! xD I also wish Ghirahim and Fi had took more notice of eachother. They are cleary similar and unless everyone is running around with a sword that has a spirit I would have thought Ghirahim would have said...SOMETHING. I believe the most he says is the sword is...
It could work. But thats a very big could. Like a lot of people have stated already, what affect would that have on the character Zelda who is a romantic interest? Link as a male just fits the story and to change it would be quite a risk. Plus Link, while silent, does have a personality and is...
I don't find Navi that annoying. I know, the shock you must be feeling having read that! But really the way people go on about her makes her seem so much worse then she is, in my opinion of course. Infact I find Fi more annoying...
Oh no! I was planning on doing the Thunder Dragon 1st for my next playthrough in order to get the Hylian Shield sooner. I'd rather take the safer option though...
Dugeon wise I found this to be one of the easiest in Zelda games. I didn't have to look at a walkthrough once as I figured the puzzles out easily by myself. Did I get smarter or did Zelda get easier? (I'd love for it to be the first one, really!) But combat wise I'd say its the hardest out of...
I agree 100% with the swimming. It just felt a bit pointless really. I control Link on land with the control stick, why should swimming be different? It also made me suck at swimming..loads.
I agree with pretty much everything you have said. Exploration is something I always looked forward to in a Zelda game and sadly Skyward Sword really took that away from you. None of the surface was connected and you had to go back to the sky to go to another part, the sky itself was empty and...
I think that scene may be my favourite Zelda cutscene ever. When we got the dialouge option, oh man I took ages deciding. I'm not even a big fan of Zelda herself, but seeing Link get emotional like that.....so sad! ;.;
I think it has the best soundtrack in the series. I have spent the last 2 weeks constantly listening to the soundtrack, paticuarly Fi's theme..... It is beyond words just how beautiful the music is in this game. <3
Easily the best motion controls used for any Wii game. I only had a few rare moments that the sword was out of place. (Link looked rather like an idiot in those paticular moments, sorry Link!) I never had to recalibrate and my game time is now over 70hours. Skyward Sword has made me love motion...
Sadly there are these little nitpicks that stop this from being my favourite Zelda, which sucks! I wish I wasn't so critical of games. But really this game was amazing and easily outshined previous Zelda games with its cutscenes, story and overall presentation.
Whens the "No Shield" option? xD Well I wasn't fond of the shields so I went shieldless untill I got the Hylian Shield! Link looks pretty darn cool just with a sword though. :P
Yes this really annoyed me aswell. The most he really says is "What an interesting sword" or something along those lines when he is able to steal it from you in the first battle. Really? Thats it!? I guess Ghirahim isn't fazed by having a "twin". At all. Or he never knew.....but he must have...
I don't like the fact of how you have to go back up to the sky to go to another part of the surface. For me that killed the exploration. Also how it was limited to only 3 types of enviroment.
I may just do a normal 2nd playthrough. From what I've seen on Hero Mode the only thing you get is more of a challenge? I don't play for difficulty so I see no point....
