I'm not I feel like he's setting up a fake claim for later. It feels like something he can point out on D3 or 4 when he's under suspicion again or something, and say "well I softed this back on D1"

To clarify cause of the wording. Everyone has a role, not that they're all weird ones.

To clarify, a soft name claim would be doing something like hinting at the title you're from or events your character took part in?
