I do like the original a bit more though, since we saw Khan in the TV show and then it comes back for the movie. and it is awesome.

i mean it is easy enough to thaw, but last time I checked the crew was locked tight in the missiles too. Khan was just easier.

but my other thought would be, their blood is frozen, and they already had Khan's blood. Khan was easier to get too also
