i was just talking about bands in general, not necessarily metal. the bands i've heard use autotune aren't even CLOSE to metal.

i wasn't talking about bands LIKE avenged sevenfold, i was using them as an example. i've actually heard a few bands nowadays autotune. though i've always thought people who autotune were pretty terrible even before autotuning, but doing that just makes it worse, because they're basically lying about having talent.

older music is usually better, but there are some bands nowadays that still have good music and don't autotune (like avenged sevenfold)

yeah, especially when the autotuned person gets more famous than the people who are actually talented.

you're right, it's pretty stupid how they do that. it's like using cheat codes and then saying "i'm SO good at this game." i just realized that that's what autotuning is like, cheating.

well, if a band only autotunes because it suits their style of music, it's fine. but if someone only uses it to give people the illusion that they have talent, THEN i hate it.

uh.. yeah, that's kinda weird... anyways, autotune still sucks, people only use it to cover the fact that they have no talent, like almost every rapper in the world

exactly. there's no point to listening to more of a band if everything sounds alike, if you've heard one you've heard them all.

heck, most bands now don't even try a different style of the same genre, they mostly stick to songs that all sound the same.

pffft. you'd never know because most artists nowadays are too afraid to do something different.

oh. the best kinds of singers are the ones who can do anything and still sound great.
