Shoryuken indeed. Street Fighter is the king of traditional fighting games. Across the whole fighting spectrum, however, Super Smash Bros. is better!

Yeah I wouldn't consider the CD-i titles relevant to the series, really. Either way, it's understandable to dislike those elements of those games, but I'm not sure one could define them as the games' broad styles of play, which is what I was specifically referring to. I also don't think one could consider them broken so much as personally unappealing. Idk, maybe you feel differently though.
