  • I don't know. The ones I've played were pretty much all from the Playstation era. Those were fairly good, with VII standing out because of nostalgic value. The other one I really liked was IX for some reason. Take into consideration that I didn't even have a Playstation at the time and was playing all of them at a friend's place, haha. I still want to pick up XIII some day on the cheap, but I have an Xbox so I don't know if that version is any good. It also sort of annoys me that it comes on three discs on the xbox, whereas you only have one disc on the PS3. The MMORPG genre seems to be pretty populated anyway, I don't think that Final Fantasy should even go there. I agree completely (although I never played Runescape xD)

Ah, if it doesn't ring a bell then I won't talk of it any more. It's really something that you should witness or play yourself. The ending thing annoys me sort of, too. I mean, I've actually completed two of them already, but for the other ones you apparently need all weapons in the game or something. I don't think I have the patience at the moment to get all of them. =P

Those are some of my favorites as well! What I really like about Nier's music is that it's in a non-existent language. It seems to be a mix between Japanese and German from what I've heard, but there's a lot more in there that I can't even connect a language to.

That makes me wonder if the Japanese version was actually something that Square-Enix wanted to see, seeing how they published the game and all. I can only hope that one day Nier will get the recognition it deserves, although that will probably happen when people are able to emulate the Xbox or PS3. =P

Yesh, at first Spirit Tracks felt so Alien to me like it was so hard to play at first then later i slowly adapted to it.
I KNOW I'm so bummed about that its really a shame because i really enjoy being lazy. : (
but at least i will be able to see the guy who dressed up as Link. XD just kidding. i don't think he even know who the hell i am either so if i say hi to him he will just think I'm a creep because i hugged him on Halloween. ah whatever.
yeeh, i guess if you think about it it wouldn't be that great i would just want to be able to warp everywhere. :3

    YAAY FOR MIDNA POWERS! XD
but yeeh no. recently i havent been playing i know its lame but im still on the sols part. : \ but hey. i got Spirt track from a friend of mine so i have been playing that alot but other than that no much Zelda, because i have been sitting around doing nothing for the whole winter break. so my life would he a hell of alot better living in the Twilight Relm doing twilighty stuff with al my powers. : P
but really what do you thing you woudl do on a normal day if you lived there?
No kidding. It's like Final Fantasy. Every game is pretty much the same after 7 came out. I don't think it's all that odd, though... but for the love of... something, come up with something new. And no, an MMORPG isn't gonna cut it. The forest is the part where you have to traverse through a lot of text... that could ring some bells.

My favorite is either the song you hear when you're wandering around on the plains, or Kaine's theme. Both the slow and fast versions are excellent. What's your favorite?

Definitely. Although I heard that in the Japanese version of the game Nier is actually a brother. I much prefer to see Nier as a loving father, something you don't really see all that often in RPGs. Pretty much all of the main characters are young teenage boys in Japanese RPGs these days. It was refreshing to play a different 'role' for once. It's too bad that Nier didn't really sell all that well, though. It really deserved to do better than this. :(
Yeah, I know what you're talking about there. I play RPGs every now and then, but I'm not really a big fan of all the strategic RPGs they release these days. They just seem to rehash the same things over and over again. Nier on the other hand tries to do something new, and that's really something I can appreciate. Did you see the part in the Forest of... uh... *something*? I can't remember the name right now, but it was seriously awesome. :P

I agree with you fully about the music. The music is really catchy as heck... the tunes just seem to stick for some reason. They're not long, but they never seem to get old - even though they loop to no end. XP Yeah, Kaine is a really amazing character. I like how the developers did something new and actually... well... you know, experimented with something I don't think a game has ever touched on before: hermaphroditism.

Thanks for the invite! :) And maybe I'm just too polite for always making sure of things. :P
I know what you mean about the gameplay... it's tedious, repetitive and plain boring at times. But the story is what really makes the game shine. When I first got it I had no idea how much I was going to like it, because my expectations were very low (picked it up for 10 bucks, haha :P). Kaine is indeed <3 I don't think I've ever seen a character quite like her in any game I've played before.

Hey... Since you and I share something in common... Do you think I could add you to my friend list? Any person who even knows about Nier is a friend in my book. XD
YES. Most. Underrated. Game. EVER. Game doesn't get the love it deserves. I swear, that game is going to be a cult classic in a couple of years. Really glad I picked it up.
Hm... so THATS what anime that render was from, thanks...

I just randomly downloaded it, but it looks like an anime worth watching so thanks for the info LOL.
Well, that's quite funny. Wild goose chase? Yes. The chase is being conducted by geese.

This may or may not be the last time I reply. I've been allowed to return to Zelda Informer, and I intend to take revenge on them. Then again, I just want to be a peaceful member, even if I am the Master of Chaos. I enjoyed talking with you, and hope that you will continue to see success on the horizon...

I KNOW! but I was bored and looked around and saw other little castle things around so it think that was just the place the Zant was at. : )
Okay. I'm going to say something to you, right now, that may or may not benefit you for the rest of your life:

NEVER, under any conditions, say or write down anything that degrades yourself.

I was actually just reading about this during my personal study of Milton Erickson's methods and ideas. If "the subject" writes something down or says something aloud, their subconscious mind is immediately set to a position where it will support the idea, no matter how ridiculous or absurd it is.

Thus, you may or may not have condemned yourself to failure in science. Your subconscious mind is compelled to support your idea, and will reject information that does not support it. It will, whether you notice it or not, sabotage you to prove you correct.

This is also the reason for such vicious arguing over the Zelda timeline. The theorist writes down an idea (their timeline), and sends it (this is the equivalent of saying it aloud) out to the other theorists, who have done the same thing. They are all stuck because their subconscious minds are automatically rejecting the ideas that are not supporting them. Thus, the argument cannot actually go anywhere without aid from an unbiased person.
The quest for knowledge must always begin and end with yourself.

If you seek to be able to understand a topic, you must first be willing to put forth the effort to learn it. One way to do this is to find and learn from a teacher. Unfortunately, I've been doing a little research of my own lately, revolving around a fascination with the work of this guy, so I wouldn't be able to do a very good job of "teaching".

If you really wanted to understand a subject like thermodynamics, I'd suggest the internet. Just be sure to cross-check all information with another source to ensure that it is accurate.
    No. I don't have MSN.

Again, I try and confine most of my online social contact to forums. Last time I checked, MSN is not a forum discussing the topic of "Zelda". Thus, I probably don't use it.
