The march to Eldin was rife with problems, carts broke on the steep inclines, wheels broke on large rocks, and Hilda insisted Daku ride his black stead which was problematic since he had to listen with his pointy ears for the commotion of the group. He was unpleasent most of the time, snapping at people, even Hilda, who in one row she tapped his head with her wand.
