1. Why do the other human like people look normal.
2. Bowser looks amazing in his wedding suit.
3. I feel a strong theme around hats. What are we a hat in time.
4.I'm probably going to get it since it looks like a good old explorative collectathon.

This is the game that's sold me on eventually purchasing the Switch. Having missed out on the Galaxy games due to not having a Wii during the duology's heyday, my excitement is through the roof!

I'm exited. This is the first MARIO game I've ever been excited for. All the other ones have been pretty meh or huge letdowns. My only two problems are the hat and the people. The Hat does not need to be Mario's companion and does not need to have the eyes. They are trying to pull an Ezlo on us but that was a one time thing imo. Also, why are Mario, peach, and bowser the only ones so far that have that particular animation style? Mario is, like, a foot tall compared to the normal people in the city map. Just saying, not a fan. But other than those two things, I can't find much wrong with the game!

The game looks absolutely amazing. The city and forest areas are eye candy. The Donkey Kong references in the street names were great. I also love how Nintendo took the concept of Starship Mario and customized it into Mario's own robotic flying fortress. I think Mario being able to toss his hat and use as an extra jump is something that fits so well into the franchise. It feels like it's always belonged. Same with Mario riding on the lion. It looks phenomenal and adds another layer of gameplay to an already polished formula. I look forward to defeating Hipster Bowser this holiday season.

As has been pointed out by GameXplain, that city not only has tons of references to the Donkey Kong series but is almost a giant reference to the original Donkey Kong. My hope is for Donkey Kong to appear and that they do some sort of recreation of King Kong climbing the Empire State building with him. It would definitely explain all the references if Donkey Kong were in fact an attraction there. Anyway, I thought it was very odd to see Mario with real humans in a realistic city (brings back terrible memories of the Super Mario Bros. Movie) but the surrealism is really growing on me. They made it very clear in the conference that he's no longer in the Mushroom Kingdom so he's definitely out of his element so I don't really mind the people. I don't know how I feel about the bunnies, they just look like reskinned versions of the Koopalings which I find unnecessary. It just comes off as change for the sake of change like the stitching on Mario's overalls. It's such a minor detail that could have been there last generation or the generation before that yet it only seems like it's there to establish that the Switch is powerful and can handle more detail. I appreciate the detail in Mario's hair and pornstache but for some reason the stitching just looks odd to me. Other than that, I'm very excited about the game and can't wait to see more. The graphics look very beautiful, especially Mario's expressiveness. I'm still very confused as to the layout of the game though. Are there going to be multiple hub worlds and a bunch of levels within them or is each area going to be one giant sandbox?

I like the fact he will be spending some time in a realistic city. It is an unexpected move but in my view it is a good one. Since I will be getting a Switch to play BoTW I shall be playing this game at some stage also. I don't like to replay Mario games usually, once I have completed i dont touch again so would probably be best for me to borrow a copy.

Seeing Mario stand next to 'normal' humans made me think Sonic Adventure and then a piece of me died.

Looks fun, the 'levels' look rather large, some of them (like the forest level) looked stunning. But that hub city is gonna bug the holy hell out of me.

Mario holds very little sway on me too, i buy Mario games because of tbeir quality and design, knowing theyre going to be good games, but i dont care like i do for Zelda so i can wait for Odyssey, im not particularly excited.

I think it looks pretty cool. I'm not really a fan of the city world though. I dunno, just seeing Mario in a sort of realistic setting is a bit off-putting to me. The forest area looks gorgeous though! It's nice to see a huge variety in the types of areas. The hat companion seems neat as well. I think it will make for some interesting solutions to some puzzles.

I'm still hoping there is going to be a new Mario game similar to the likes of Sunshine, 64, and the Galaxy games though. I would absolutely love a sequel to Sunshine, seeing as it's my favorite Mario game.

I would have preferred sa Super Mario Galaxy 3 to this. On the bright side it's nothing like that awful Sunshine. So that's something.

Will this be a good game? Most probably yes.
Will this be worth buying? Most probably yes.
Does this feel like a Mario game though? Not at all really.

One could say Nintendo is moving in directions in their franchises that are totally different to the past 20-30 years. BotW is unlike any Zelda game before it. SM-Odessy is unlike any Mario game before it. XC2 is totally different to XC.

Hey hey hey. Hey there. Sonic's just repaying the favor for stealing Galaxy's design in Lost World. Mario just decided to get a little payback.

Plus he was born in Brooklyn.

It kind of does. Mario Odyssey evokes a lot of the same feelings that Mario Sunshine did.... And boy is that exciting.

XC2 is not totally different to XC. Same artstyle(despite different character designs), it's likely going to have a very similar story arch, and XC2 seemingly brings back the Monado.

I'll be honest, I hate 3D Mario games. I find them the very definition of un-fun. I didn't care for SM64, Sunshine or Galaxy. There is almost no chance I'll pick this game up.

The only thing I do have to say is that it seems odd it isn't a launch title. I know that for a lot of people this would be a Day One purchase, so it's weird to me Nintendo aren't making this a launch title.

For those that enjoy 3D Mario games, I'm truly happy that you guys are excited. This game does nothing for me in the slightest.
