Aerdrie spoke clearly and slowly, clearly translating as she went, "The Zaldigias troops are most graciously welcomed into our army. As promised, once the citadel is our own we shall have a place to make war on the elven lands more easily from. We have agreed for all our forces to join in the Valley of Tears so that we might plan our siege. Archers are in short supply as the Orcs are too brutish for accuracy and the goblins too stupid for anything but attrition."
Aerdrie's face showed a mixture of surprise and shock, "The Zaldigias are a small clan, good archers, but not the best that the elves can produce. They've long held hostility for the sitting king and the other lords and ladies of the elven counsel due to their relatively unimportant and disrespected position on the counsel. I'm unsurprised they would seek to help make war on the citadel." She glanced about, "The valley of tears is not too terribly far, a week's walk and climb at most. It is an excellent place to build an army. The rivers run thick with fish, the birds nest frequently, and the trees bear lots of fruit."
