Skull Shooting

"Shoot the skulls! Consecutive hits will boost your score."

— In-Game Description

Skull Shooting is the final stage of Level 2 in Link's Crossbow Training. It is played in third person, where Link can be seen shooting skulls thrown from off-screen in a manner near-identical to clay pigeon shooting.

The skulls are thrown in waves, with each new wave being signaled by a horn. Two types of skull are thrown, grey and red. The former give 50 points (times the current multiplier), while red skulls give 100 points (again, times the current multiplier). After hitting 40 skulls, a Triforce bonus of 5000 points is granted.

An Orange Rupee can be found in one of the barrels once it is destroyed. A scarecrow is also available in the centre-right of the screen.

It is worth noting that the faster Link can clear each wave, the faster the next will occur.
