The Hebra Mountain Walkthrough is a full guide for reaching Hebra Mountain, navigating Holy Mount Lanayru, and entering the Lanayru Temple.

Reaching Hebra Mountain

  • From Hyrule Castle, exit to the west and then head north along the path towards the target. Along the way, Zelda will find a guard who is looking into the rift on Holy Mount Lanayru. He mentions that the cliffs are a bit to steep to just climb up to, and suggests to Zelda to use the mountain passage that is ahead.
  • Continue further north and use a Bombfish Echo to blow up a whole and head down the ladder.
  • Use echoes, such as Water Block Echoes to climb up and grab ahold of the wall above. Climb to the right and use a Bombfish Echo to break one of the boulders.
  • Use more Bombfish Echoes to break the boulders above, allowing the moving platform to head up.
  • There is a second vertical moving platform with more cracked blocks. Clear the blocks and then defeat the nearby Peahat. On the left side of the room, clear the blocks to find a chest with 9 [{Warm Pepper]]s.
  • Climb up to the top of the room and clear some more blocks. Use Bind and move the large rock to the right. Clear the blocks below and then move the large block back to the left.
  • Make your way back around to the vertical moving platform and ride it up. Exit to find yourself on Hebra Mountain.

Navigating Hebra Mountain

  • Once Zelda arrives at Hebra Mountain, it will give an overview of the area and begin the Rift on Holy Mount Lanayru quest.
  • As soon as Zelda navigates much further, it will begin to get very cold. So cold that Zelda will begin to take damage. In order to keep herself warm, she will need to be near flames. Zelda can repeatedly spawn Brazier Echoes as she navigates the snow. She can also just use Bind to a brazier and walk around. Alternatively, she can spawn an fire enemy echo like an Ignizol Echo and just carry it over her head. The final option is to use a Chill-Proof or Ice-Proof drink to avoid the cold damage.
  • In the southwest corner of the mountain, Zelda will find a partially buried chest that contains 3 Twisted Pumpkins. Further north there is a second chest with 6 Twisted Pumpkins. Near this chest, along the northern wall, Zelda will find a ladder blocked off by some ice. She can melt the ice, and inside is an elaborate cave that leads to a Golden Egg.
  • Progress further along to the east and Zelda will find a large Yeti, seemingly asleep in the snow. Simply ignore him for now and progress further along the mountain path.
  • The path is a bit long and windy, but far to the east, Zelda will find another Waypoint. Just to the northeast of it, there is a hut and once Zelda draws near, the character we saw earlier will appear. His name is Condé. He lives here and welcomes Zelda to enter his home.
  • Inside, Zelda can look at the painting on the wall, the journal, but then she needs to examine the shovel, near the entrance. Condé mentions that it is no longer snowing outside and goes out to do some cleaning. Condé will clear out the snowpile that is blocked a cave, just to the right. Follow suit and head into the cave.

Hebra Mountain Cave

  • Melt the blocks at the top-right part of the room to find a door leading to the next area. Defeat or avoid the Ice Keese and continue along.
  • The room on the right is optional and it has some falling snowballs. It leads to a treasure chest that contains 50 rupees.
  • Back in the room with a bunch of ice blocks, melt the blocks to the northwest and head up a screen to find Condé shoveling snow trying to get rid of the Rift.
  • Head left and have Tri make a portal to enter the Stilled Hebra Mountain Cave.
  • Head left and melt the ice block that has some purple goo to find some of Tri's friends.
  • From where you first enter the Stilled World, head south, using flame echoes to burn some of the ice, as well as Old Bed Echoes or other echoes to navigate. Melt the ice to find more of Tri's friends.
  • Make your way to the northeast part of the area, defeating some Ice Keese and eventually finding some more purple goo floating on the higher elevation.
  • Head directly north from the starting spot and you'll find some sideways trees. Use various echoes to climb up and you'll find another ice block with some of Tri's friends within it. Melt the ice to find the friends.
  • Climb up to the very top and defeat the Dark Spear Moblin to find the last of Tri's friends.
  • Return to Condé, where he will think that he cleared the rift himself. Climb the ladder and melt the blocks in the area before heading right.
  • Climb the area here and you'll find a treasure chest on the left that contains a Monster Stone. Climb up further and exit to cave to find yourself at a higher elevation of Hebra Mountain.

Second Mountain Cave

  • Back outside, the water here is near frozen and will deal damage to Zelda if she falls in. It is also filled with a variety of enemies which can be defeated or avoided.
  • Make your way to the west, using Old Bed Echoes that float on the water and climb up to re-enter another cave.
  • The ice blocks in this room will crack if Zelda stands on them too long or if a bomb explodes. Quickly use echoes to climb up and head up a screen.
  • Navigate through this room, allowing the wind geyers to push you along. At the north end of the room, the wind is blowing northward and there is a Gustmaster in the area as well. The best bet is to use a flying echo, such as a Mothula Echo, along with the gust from the gustmaster to make it across.
  • Clear the two Ice Keese in this room, as well as the Zol that is behind the ice at the top-right part of the room. The doors will open and the room to the left has a treasure chest hidden behind the ice that contains six Monster Guts.
  • Backtrack to the ice room and head up where you'll encounter some Freezards. Keep your distance and use projectile attacks, such as a Fire Wizzrobe to defeat them and then continue to the left. Navigate the next couple rooms and then climb the ladder.
  • Climb the wall and carefully make it across while avoiding the stalactites. There are some Ice Octos in the next room and it's best to defeat them with echoes before you get too close.
  • At the end of the path, ride the platform above, avoiding the cold air that blows toward Zelda. Summon a Boulder Echo to shield yourself from the cold air as you ride the platform up and out of the cave.
