EX Treasure: Usurper King is a Side Quest found in Breath of the Wild. It was made available as part of the The Champions' Ballad downloadable content.
Guide
Link can stumble upon Misko's EX Journal 2, found in the Deya Village Ruins. The journal states that the helm of the self-proclaimed King of Shadows is in a swamp of the valley of dead trees, south of Dueling Peaks.[1]
The swamp is in reference to the north end of Tobio's Hollow. Link can warp over to the Shee Vaneer Shrine, at the top of the Dueling Peaks and head south to reach the swamp. If the shrine is not unlocked yet, the easiest way to reach Tobio's Hollow is by warping to the Dueling Peaks Tower and traveling south, and then southeast. The north end of Tobio's Hollow consists of poisonous swamp and Link is unable to swim in it. On the small island at the west side of the swamp, the treasure chest can be found buried in the ground. Link can use Magnesis to pull up the treasure to collect Zant's Helmet.
Zant's Helmet has a base defense of 3 and it cannot be enhanced. While wearing the helmet, Link becomes Unfreezable.
