Ocarina of Time Secret Grottos
Located throughout the world of Ocarina of Time there are Secret Grottos, which are underground caverns that may hold Rupees, Gold Skulltulas, Heart Pieces, Gossip Stones, and other goodies. Many of these grottos are open and are found by simply walking up to them, while others are hidden, requiring Link to use a Bomb, remove a boulder, or play the Song of Storms to reveal the entrance.
Locations
Below is a full listing of all 33 Grottos Link can find, along with the contents that are found within each grotto. The grottos are listed by location in alphabetical order.
Location: Death Mountain Crater, in the circle of rocks at the north part of the crater, near the entrance from the Death Mountain Trail. Place a bomb to reveal the entrance.
Contents: Treasure Chest containing 5 Bombs, a Gossip Stone, and a Fish in a pond.Location: Death Mountain Crater, beneath a boulder near the entrance to Goron City.
Contents: There are three Business Scrubs found inside. As a child, one will sell 5 Deku Nuts for 20 Rupees, one will sell 5 Bombs for 40 Rupees, and one will sell 30 Deku Seeds for 40 Rupees. When Link is an adult, the last one will sell 30 Arrows for 70 Rupees, instead of Deku Seeds.Location: Death Mountain Trail, in the circle of rocks just outside the entrance to Goron City. Play the Song of Storms to get the hole to appear.
Contents: Treasure Chest containing a Huge Rupee, a Gossip Stone, and a Fish in a pond.Location: Death Mountain Trail, on the upper pathway just before the falling lava rocks are located when Link is a child. Break the boulder to find the grotto.
Contents: A Cow, Recovery Hearts, and 26 Rupees. Each time Link enters the grotto, the rupees will respawn, so it is a quick way to fill up his wallet.Location: Desert Colossus, under the silver boulder, by the circle of rocks near the Triforce Pedestal.
Contents: There are two Business Scrubs here, one sells Green Potion for 40 Rupees, while the other sells Red Potion for 40 rupees.Location: Gerudo Valley, behind the tent where the Carpenters can be found. Play the Song of Storms to get the grotto to appear.
Contents: There are two Business Scrubs here, one sells Green Potion for 40 Rupees, while the other sells Red Potion for 40 rupees.Location: Gerudo Valley: On a platform against the wall down below, there is a silver boulder. Pick it up with the Silver/Golden Gauntlets to reveal the hole.
Contents: There is an Octorok in the water, with 39 Rupees found underwater.Location: Gerudo's Fortress, near the crates in the center of the area on the ground level. Play the Song of Storms to get the hole to appear.
Contents: A Fairy Fountain.Location: Goron City, located in the long room with lava. Play the Song of Time to create a pair of time blocks and/or use the Longshot to grapple across the gap.
Contents: There are three Business Scrubs found inside. One will sell 5 Deku Nuts for 20 Rupees, one will sell 5 Bombs for 40 Rupees, and one will sell 30 Deku Seeds for 40 Rupees. When Link is an adult, the last one will sell 30 Arrows for 70 Rupees, instead of Deku Seeds.Location: Hyrule Castle, near the tree where Link first meets up with Talon, early on in the adventure. Play the Song of Storms to get the hole to appear.
Contents: Behind the breakable walls, there is a Gold Skulltula, a Gossip Stone, Bugs, 5 Deku Seeds, 5 Deku Nuts, and 5 Bombs.Location: Hyrule Field, within the four fences right near the entrance to Lake Hylia. Use a bomb a in the center of this area to reveal the entrance.
Contents: A Business Scrub can be found inside and he will sell Link a Piece of Heart for 10 Rupees. There is also a small pool of water, where Link can play the Song of Storms to summon a Fairy.Location: Hyrule Field, at the far southwest corner, just outside of the fenced area that leads to Lake Hylia. This grotto is already there and Link can just fall inside.

Contents: Treasure Chest containing 20 Rupees, a Gossip Stone, and a Fish in a pond.Location: Hyrule Field, near a tree north of the river, between Hyrule Castle Town and Kakariko Village. Use a bomb to reveal the entrance.
Contents: There is a Big Skulltula, as well as a Gold Skulltula higher up on the wall.Location: Hyrule Field, just Hyrule Castle Town near the three trees. Blow up the boulder that is found here.
Contents: Treasure Chest containing 5 Rupees, a Gossip Stone, and a Fish in a pond.Location: Hyrule Field, at the northwest corner of the field, just north of the small river Break the boulder that is found here.
Contents: A Fairy Fountain.Location: Hyrule Field, northwest of Lon Lon Ranch and south of the small river, there is lone tree where Link can drop a bomb to reveal the grotto.
Contents: Use the Iron Boots or the Golden Scale to reach the bottom of the pond and find a Heart Piece.Location: Hyrule Field, near a circle of rocks by the entrance to Gerudo Valley. As a child, Link can blow up the boulder with a bomb. As an adult, it is a stronger boulder and Link will need to use the Megaton Hammer.
Contents: Behind the spider webs there is a Gold Skulltula, a Cow, a Gossip Stone, and 5 Deku Nuts.Location: Kakariko Village, in the open space right in the center of town. Drop a bomb to blast a hole in the ground.
Contents: Defeat the two ReDeads to get a treasure chest to appear, which contains a Huge Rupee.Location: Kakariko Village, in the gated area in the northeast corner of the village. It is an open grotto found just behind Granny's Potion Shop.
Contents: Treasure Chest containing 20 Rupees, a Gossip Stone, and a Fish in a pond.Location: Kokiri Forest, next to the Gossip Stone, right by the entrance to the Lost Woods. Play the Song of Storms to open the grotto.

Contents: Treasure Chest containing 5 Rupees, a Gossip Stone, and a Fish in a pond.Location: Lost Woods, hidden in the grassy area of the meadow. When entering the Lost Woods from Kokiri Forest, head right, left, right, left, and left again. The grotto is found in the back area. Contents: The location of the Forest Stage, a secret grotto where Link can wear various Masks to get a Deku Stick upgrade, a Deku Nut upgrade, Rupees, and other reactions from the Deku Scrubs.
Location: Lost Woods, beneath the boulder, located right by the entrance to the Sacred Forest Meadow.
Contents: There are two Business Scrubs found here, one will sell Link a Deku Nut Upgrade for 40 rupees. The other will sell Deku Seeds for 40 rupees when Link is a child, but will sell Arrows for 70 rupees when Link is an adult.Location: Sacred Forest Meadow, right at the entrance, where Link initially fights a Wolfos. Drop a bomb in the center of this region to find the grotto.
Contents: Two Wolfos. Once they are defeated, a treasure chest containing 50 Rupees appears.Location: Sacred Forest Meadow, right in the center of the region. Most easily reached when traveling into the main part of the Sacred Forest Meadow from the Forest Temple. Climb the ladder and drop down the square opening below to find the grotto.
Contents: A Fairy Fountain.Location: Sacred Forest Meadow, in the area just outside of the Forest Temple. At the southeast corner of the region, play the Song of Storms to reveal the grotto.
Contents: There are two Business Scrubs here, one sells Green Potion for 40 Rupees, while the other sells Red Potion for 40 rupees.Location: Zora's River, near the circle of rocks, right at the entrance of Zora's River.
Contents: There are two Business Scrubs here, one sells Green Potion for 40 Rupees, while the other sells Red Potion for 40 rupees.Location: Zora's River, on the higher ledge near the center of the map. As a child, Link will need to use a Cucco and fly over from the east, and then climb up the ladder. As an Adult, Link can ride the Magic Bean to reach this area. This is an open grotto that Link can just fall down.
