The Outskirt Stable is a location in Breath of the Wild, Age of Calamity, and Tears of the Kingdom.
Breath of the Wild
The Outskirt Stable is one of fifteen Stables that are located across Hyrule. Outskirt Stable can be found southwest of Hyrule Field off the road that runs west of the Coliseum Ruins. It is staffed by Embry, who manages boarding and lending horses, and Canni, who assists Link with changing his horse's gear or mane style.
Trott can be found at the Outskirt Stable and will buy Raw Gourmet Meat from Link once he has completed the A Rare Find side quest. Traveling vendor Beedle can also be found at the Outskirt Stable selling arrows and elixir ingredients. Botrick can also be found wandering the road in front of the Outskirt stable selling arrows.
Local resources include Armoranth, Hylian Shrooms, and Restless Crickets. There is also a grove of trees across the road from the stable that Link can cut down to harvest Wood from. A Woodcutter's Axe is available for use. At the stable itself, Link can also find a Torch and a Traveler's Spear. In addition to a Cooking Pot, an unlit firepit is also available if Link would like to roast meat or fish over an open flame.
Link will find a Hylian Retriever at the stable. If Link feeds him some food, he can befriend the dog. After doing so, the dog will lead Link just to the northeast, where he finds a treasure chest that contains a Silver Rupee.

Rumor Mill: Volume 3
Time for gossip and news about the past and the future! Today's topic is...
The Weird and Wonderful Spirit Koroks!
At the moment the night is at its darkest, when even the trees have drifted into slumber...
Actually, the time of day doesn't mater at all... Anyway...
All throughout the world, you may spot these odd little spirit critters as you wander the land. They could be under a rock, or way out in the wilds, or even just in a suspicious nook that seems slightly not right...
Real eerie, huh?
Traysi's Recommendation: [3 stars]
Nearby Side Quests
Rota Ooh Shrine
- Main article: Rota Ooh Shrine
The Rota Ooh Shrine can be found just up the hill to the southwest of the stable. Also known as Passing of the Gates, the shrine requires Link to hit an arrow switch repeatedly, causing the structure in the shrine to rotate. Link will meet up with Rota Ooh at the altar to get a Spirit Orb.
Nearby Korok Seeds
Cross the road and follow the curve of Aquame Lake in the direction of the Coliseum Ruins. On the ledge right up against the cliff there is a lone rock that you can pick up.
Age of Calamity
In Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, this stable becomes available after completing the Road to the Ancient Lab scenario in Chapter 1, and is unlocked by providing 1 Hearty Durian, 200 Bokoblin Trophies, and 100 Lizalfos Trophies to complete the Swanked-Up Stable quest.
Tears of the Kingdom
The Outskirt Stable can be found well to the southwest of Lookout Landing and just west of the Coliseum Ruins.
Inside of the stable, there is a map, showcasing the locations of all the Cherry Trees in the world.[1] Also on the wall is a Recipe to make some Egg Tart, which includes a Bird Egg, Goat Butter, Cane Sugar, and Tabantha Wheat.
The Hylian Retriever at the Stable can be fed some Apples. After consuming four of them, the dog will guide Link to a chest west of the stable, which holds a Giant Boomerang.
Nearby Quests
Serenade to Kaysa
- Main article: Serenade to Kaysa
After Link has completed the Serenade to a Great Fairy quest, Mastro and Violynne will appear at the Outskirt Stable. The Great Fairy Kaysa is found just up the hill from the stable, but she won't come out of her bud. Mastro remembers that she loves the sound of Pyper's flute, but Pyper is not currently with the group. Link will need to travel to the Highland Stable and complete The Flute Player's Plan in order to get Pyper to rejoin the Stable Trotters.
With Pyper back with the group, Link can speak with Mastro to begin the Serenade to Kaysa quest. Link will need to attach a fourth Big Wheel, as well as a Steering Stick to the Stone Slab that already has three wheels. Link can then attach the Stable Trotters wagon, Breezer. Link can speak with Mastro to have them get in and he can then ride them up to the Great Fairy. The group will play a song, which will awaken the fairy and complete the quest.
The Horse Guard's Request
- Main article: The Horse Guard's Request
Link can speak with Toffa, who is tending the horses to begin The Horse Guard's Request. Toffa heard a rumor of a Stalhorse and if the rumors were true, he'd love to see it in person. At nighttime, just west of the Sanidin Park Ruins, well to the northwest of the Stable, Link can sneak up and jump on a Stalhorse. Link can then ride the Stalhorse back to the stable to show it to Toffa, where he'll reward him with a Purple Rupee and a Pony Point.
Toffa then talks about trying to ride a bear or a dear. Also to the northwest of the stable, the Dalite Forest often has Mountain Doe or Mountain Bucks in the area. Link can sneak up slowly on one of them and mount it. After soothing the deer, he can ride it back to the Outskirt Stable. Toffa will give Link a Silver Rupee and another Pony Point, which will complete the quest.
A Picture for Outskirt Stable
- Main article: A Picture for Outskirt Stable
After completing one of the Regional Phenomena and acquiring the Camera, Link can examine the frame on the wall to begin the A Picture for Outskirt Stable quest. Link will need to take a picture of a Cherry Tree, one of which can be found on top of Satori Mountain. After showing the picture to Embry from inside the stable, he'll paint the picture on the wall. Embry will reward Link with a Pony Point and an Egg Tart meal.
The Beckoning Woman
- Main article: The Beckoning Woman
After first completing the Potential Princess Sightings!, Link can speak with Penn and Nell to begin The Beckoning Woman quest. Link can travel to the three-way intersection to the east to find Ralera. After following her further east and up a cliff, she'll eventually wind up on the Great Plateau. You'll find that she was just an imposter and Link will battle with three Yiga Footsoldiers. After defeating them, Penn will appear to award Link with a Purple Rupee.
Outskirt Stable Well
- Main article: Outskirt Stable Well
The Outskirt Stable Well can be found just southwest of the stable. Inside the well there are basic well materials such as Brightcaps and Brightbloom Seeds.
Tsutsu-um Shrine
- Main article: Tsutsu-um Shrine
The Tsutsu-um Shrine can be found on the higher cliff, just south of the Stable. Titled The Stakes Guide You, the shrine requires Link to use Stakes to attach platforms to the wall and later, to cause orbs to move along the wall in a certain direction. After activating the Great Fairy fountain, the Shrine acts as a good warp point to quickly reach Kaysa to upgrade some of Link's gear.

Map of the Cherry Trees from Tears of the Kingdom

When you make an offering to the tree, a mysterious creature will appear! Or at least, that's the legend... One day I'll go and see a blooming cherry-blossom tree out there in nature. But for now, I can settle for looking at this wonderful picture you gave me!" — Embry, Tears of the Kingdom
