Into the Vortex is a Shrine Quest from Breath of the Wild.
Begin the Quest
Just south of Rist Peninsula and southeast of Malin Bay, there are some ruins with some trees. An Ancient Orb can be found next to a tablet. Read the tablet to begin the quest.
Guide
To complete the quest, Link must carry the Ancient Orb to the center of the Rist Peninsula. In order to reach the Peninsula, Link can walk around the long circular path. Along the way there are numerous enemies, including Moblins, Bokoblins, Lizalfos, and Water Octoroks. Alternatively, Link can use the nearby Raft to more easily sail across the water, skipping a number of the enemies. Once Link places the orb into the pedestal, the Ritaag Zumo Shrine will appear, completing the quest.
Ritaag Zumo Shrine

The Ritaag Zumo Shrine is a blessing shrine. The single treasure chest contains a Giant Ancient Core. Then speak with Ritaag Zumo at the altar to get the Spirit Orb.
