The Death Caldera Crystal is a Shrine Quest in Tears of the Kingdom.
Overview
Link can gain access to Momosik Shrine by delivering the nearby crystal to the shrine's location. The crystal is traceable by a green beam of light pointing from the shrine to its location, behind an Igneo Talus in a nearby cave. After defeating the Talus, (or simply by grabbing the crystal with Ultrahand) bring the crystal to the shrine to unlock it.
Requirements
You will need Flame Guard protection inside the cave, such as a Fireproof Elixir or the Flamebreaker Set.
Walkthrough
- Activate the shrine area for Momosik Shrine to get the green beam of light pointing to the shrine crystal.
- The crystal is the reward for defeating the Igneo Talus in Death Mountain East Tunnel ( 2768, 2778, 0522 ).
- Upon entering Death Mountain East Tunnel you will need to activate Flame Guard protection of some kind for the lava.
- Attach a Fan to a Mine Cart and ride it over to the far end of the tracks where the Talus is.
- Defeat the Talus. Use Ice Chuchus or Ice Fruit fused to arrows to cool it down, then climb on top to do damage to the crystal.
- Put the crystal into the mine cart to bring it back over to the shrine to activate it and end the quest.
