Talk to Gotter to get this quest. He wants to eat a recipe once eaten by the royal family.
 
To complete this quest head to the [[Library (Breath of the Wild)|Library]] in [[Hyrule Castle (Breath of the Wild)|Hyrule Castle]]. If entering the library from the north, the first book is on the first table, and the second will be on the upper left side on a book stand in the last section before the stairs leading further up.
 
Alternatively, you can make the recipes without going to the castle at all. The recipes are as follows:
 
*Fruitcake: At least two different types of fruit ([[Apple]]s and [[Wildberry|Wildberries]] are named in the recipe), [[Tabantha Wheat]], and [[Cane Sugar]]
 
*Monster Cake: [[Monster Extract]], [[Tabantha Wheat]], [[Goat Butter]], and [[Cane Sugar]]


To complete this quest head to the Library in Hyrule Castle. There are two recipes here, one on an upper level for Monster Cake, and one on a lower level for Fruitcake.
Make either for Gotter and he will reward you with a silver rupee. Make the other one for him as well for an extra silver rupee.

A Royal Recipe is a side quest in Breath of the Wild. The quest giver is Gotter from Riverside Stable.
