Hint Movies are Visions that appear in Majora's Mask 3D.
Overview
Within the Clock Tower, there is a Sheikah Stone that Link is able to crawl in. Link can then choose from the various visions which will guide Link towards completing tasks in the main quest. The hint movies show a few different small scenes, showing Link what he needs to do in order to progress. The visions are unlocked as Link progresses through the game.
