The All-Clucking Cucco is a Side Adventure in Tears of the Kingdom.
Overview
Head to South Akkala Stable and find Penn standing under some trees on the north side of the stable. It seems that there are no hints or leads of anything concerning Princess Zelda to be found here, but the stable is busy with people who have come to speak with "The All-Clucking Cucco", a Cucco who has suddenly started not only talking, but is providing people with prophecies that seem to come true. Penn finds this curious, and suggests that you investigate.
Requirements
Link must have spoken to Traysi and taken a freelance job for the Lucky Clover Gazette in the Potential Princess Sightings! Side Adventure.
Walkthrough
After talking to Penn, head northeast up the hill to a large tree, where a number of people are either waiting in line to see the Cucco, or have just received their prophecy. Speak to Lonni, who's at the head of line, and she will decide to let you take her place, as she can't decide on what to ask the Cucco. Talk to the Cucco, who will seem to know your name, and will mention that you are looking for Princess Zelda. It will then tell you that you must pass a number of trials before you will succeed, and will then ask if you are ready to face one now.
First Trial
You are to climb to the top of the stable (top of the head) within the time limit (48 seconds), using whatever means you wish.
- You can just run to the stable, and then climb up (this may be hard to do in time if you don't have at least a couple of pieces of the Climbing Set, or if the weather is bad), but the easier method is to run inside the stable, use Ascend to get to the roof of the stable, then stand under the horse's head and use Ascend again.
On completion, the Cucco will yell out to you, and then bring you back to him, where he will then give you a second trial.
Second Trial
You are to bring 3 logs up to the top of the hill in front of the Cucco within the time limit (1 minute, 30 seconds) using whatever means you wish.
- Chop down three of the trees nearby (bladed wepaons, bombs, your choice), and then use Ultrahand to attach them together so that you can carry them all at once. Then just walk them up the hill and then drop them in front of the Cucco.
Upon completion, the Cucco will reveal that the whole charade was a ruse just to trap you, and will then reveal itself to be a Yiga Footsoldier, while also calling in two more footsoldiers to attack you at once. Defeat them to finish the quest.

You went to a hill near South Akkala Stable, where a Cucco who talks—and speaks prophecy—actually exists. It said that if you faced some trials, it would somehow lead to more information about Princess Zelda.
You agreed to face the first trial that the prophecy-speaking Cucco put before you. Yet, after you succeeded, it said you had to face a second trial. If you do that one, you'll finally get that information about Princess Zelda.
After you completed the first trial, the prophecy-speaking Cucco said that you had to face a second trial. You agreed, and now must complete it. If you do, you'll finally get that information about Princess Zelda.
You completed the trials that the prophecy-speaking Cucco put before you, only to learn it was a Yiga trap. They wanted to exhaust you with needless work—and then attack!
The prophecy-speaking Cucco was a ruse created by the Yiga Clan to lure you to your doom. When Penn heard your report, he said it'd all make a great story for the newspaper. He's going to write about what happened to warn readers about false oracles. |
