Damage Reduction, also parsed as Damage Reduced, is an effect named in Echoes of Wisdom.

Echoes of Wisdom

The basic Damage Reduction effect, obtained by wearing the Ancient Charm or temporarily after drinking a "Tough" smoothie or potion reduces damage taken by Zelda by 25%, meaning an attack that would normally do 4 hearts damage would do only 3. Both wearing the accessory and drinking a tough smoothie stacks, for a total damage reduction of 50% while the accessory is worn and before the smoothie effect expires.

Once the Ancient Charm is upgraded to the Curious Charm, the effect is redubbed Damage Reduced + and damage taken is reduced by 50% - this still stacks with a "Tough" drink, for a total reduction in damage taken of 75% for the duration. As the Curious Charm is an upgrade of the Ancient Charm, Zelda cannot have both at the same time.

Accessories

Drinks

Smoothies made with Tough Mango and which have "Tough" in their name give Zelda one level of damage reduction, as does Tough Potion made with Tough Mango and Monster Guts. Durations are in brackets, in minutes, beside the name.
