Rupee Appearance Up is an effect named in Echoes of Wisdom. It was also previously found, unnamed, in Skyward Sword.
Skyward Sword
Carrying one or both Rupee Medals in the Adventure Pouch cause rupees to spawn more frequently when defeating monsters.[1][2]

Echoes of Wisdom
Wearing the Silver Brooch or Gold Brooch can cause rupees to be dropped more often[3]. The Gold Brooch has a stronger effect, dubbed Rupee Appearance Up +, than the Silver Brooch. Both can be worn at the same time to stack the effect.
