Carrots are an item that appears in Four Swords Adventures and an object in Echoes of Wisdom.

Four Swords Adventures

Carrots can only be found during the Near the Fields level in the stage The Field. After bringing Malon back to her home, her father, Talon, allows the Links to use his horse.[1] Just east of their house, the Links can find a sign that offers carrots.[2] If they agree to take one, they will receive the carrot inside of a crystal ball that they must break to obtain the item.[3] If they break the crystal ball and pick up the carrot, Epona will appear for a limited time, making them temporarily invincible.[4] The amount of time is extended and they momentarily go faster whenever they pick up another carrot. More carrots can be found in the grass nearby.

Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom

Two different types of carrots can be found in Breath of the Wild and Echoes of Wisdom - Swift Carrots and Endura Carrots. See those pages for details.

Carrots are grown in the Carrot Patch north-west of Hyrule Castle and south-east of the Eternal Forest. The main customer is Hyrule Ranch, who feed the carrots to their horses.

Once Zelda and Tri mend the Stilled Carrot Patch rift as part of the Impa's Gift quest, her new horse - which was previously trapped within - cannot be seen. The boy from Hyrule Ranch suggests that the smell of a fresh carrot will get the mare to come back, as she "absolutely LOVES carrots!" When Zelda uses bind to pull a carrot from the Carrot Patch, the horse indeed comes running. Zelda cannot get an echo of this carrot, as the horse eats it immediately, but she can pull another carrot to get a carrot echo afterward; although she will have to fight to do so before her horse eats it, if she doesn't scan it with the Tri Rod immediately!

Note that, although the carrot patch can be reached long before this point, Zelda cannot use bind on a carrot to pull one out - nor scan a carrot while it is in the ground - until it is suggested to her.
