RedDekuScrub - A Background
RedDekuScrub is an iconic Moderator on the Zelda Dungeon Twitch TV Streams. Being a supporter of Zelda Dungeon for many years, RedDekuScrub strives to make Zelda Dungeon the best community it can be. Although it is not commonly known,RedDekuScrub's real name is Robert Paul Christopher, but usually goes by to the name "Rob". Additionally he was born November 27th, 1995.
History with Zelda Dungeon
RedDekuScrub first discovered Zelda Dungeon in the summer of 2010. Before Discovering Zelda Dungeon, RedDekuScrub was already a big fan of the Legend of Zelda series and had been playing the games in said series for his entire life. RedDekuScrub discovered Zelda Dungeon when he was searching for a news-website about the Legend of Zelda series, and Zeldadungeon.net stood out from the rest.
Quickly, RedDekuScrub became familiar with the Webmaster of Zelda Dungeon, Mases Hagopian, as well as other Zelda Dungeon Executives such as Axle the Beast and Caleb Simpson. Wanting to support the Zelda Dungeon community, RedDekuScrub soon joined the Zelda Dungeon forums in order to participate in "all things Zelda". RedDekuScrub became even more active in the Zelda Dungeon Community when the Zelda Dungeon Wiki became was born and ready to be edited by all users. The first article RedDekuScrub wrote was about the word "Squadalah" from Link: The Faces of Evil.
Quickly, RedDekuScrub became a regular viewer of Zelda Dungeon's live streams on Twitch TV, which were held at various times throughout each year. Most of the Streams that RedDekuScrub remembers are Mases' Game Nights in which Mases Hagopian would treat his viewers to amazing, and sometimes obscure, NES games at unholy hours of the night. However, out of all the streams, the MOST memorable was the Zelda Dungeon 2012 Marathon.
During the Zelda Dungeon 2012 marathon, RedDekuScrub came to befriend many viewers, such as ZeldaGirl64 and Potatoeslol, as well as some Zelda Dungeon Staff Members. RedDekuScrub made his name known during the marathon by coming up with clever puns and witty dialouge throughout the stream, even in the middle night. What gave RedDekuScrub the most fame, however, during this time was the various pictures he would post on Zelda Dungeon's Facebook Page which, in turn, be shown on the live stream throughout the marathon. These pictures consisted of RedDekuScrub cropping the heads of Zelda Dungeon Staff members off of pictures taken by Michelle Simpson, Caleb Simpson's beloved wife, and posting said head on various Zelda-related pictures, thus making "hilarious" and ironic memes.
RedDekuScrub's fame truly began, however, during the 2013 Zelda Dungeon Marathon. During this time, RedDekuScrub had already become a familiar name with Mases Hagopian and was only embedded even further into memory. Early in the stream, RedDekuScrub donated $10 to Child's Play Charity with a message saying "Mases, if you bleat like a goat I will donate $10 every day for the rest of the stream". Of course, Mases immediately let out a vast "bleat" and RedDekuScrub was sold. Although RedDekuScrub's name was already well-known, it only become more iconic.
In the evening of Wednesday August 7th, 2013 the Zelda Dungeon Marathon's chat became overrun with "Sexy 18 year-old Gamer-bots" and Mases Hagopian needed help. "I'll help you, Mas'! Raise me up in the ranks on the wings of Eagles!", said RedDekuScrub said aloud in the chat. Although it was only meant as a joke (with a little hope deep down) Mases immediately approved of RedDekuScrub's promotion to "Moderator". "Remember, with great power, comes great responsibility, now refresh the chat." These were the first words RedDekuscrub Heard as an official Zelda Dungeon Moderator.
Throughout the stream RedDekuScrub was diligent with his work and became "the best there ever was". Many users began to flock towards RedDekuScrub, as he was a fair and just Mod, who was also funny and charming. RedDekuScrub nicknamed his "banning" ability the "Megaton-Ban-Hammer" and uses it for justice within the chat. Mases, along with the rest of the staff and chat grew to love RedDekuScrub like a mama bird loves her baby chicks.... I guess. RedDekuScrub even became a "friendly acquaintance" of Zelda Dungeon's Axle the Beast (as they are both Moderators) through various verbal exchanges within the chat. Mases Hagopian, while playing The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword , Noted that ReddekuScrub was a "Great Moderator" and even suggested promoting him to Administrator, but this was assumed to be a jest, as Mases was simply delighted that RedDekuScrub supported his run, while everyone else seemed to side with his opponent (During this time Skyward Sword was being played by two people as a race, Mases was winning, so people hated him).
On April 12th, 2014 Webmaster Mases Hagopian began the One-Man Mini-Marathon in which he played through the first five Zelda games in 24 hours. RedDekuScrub attended the event and moderated the chat throughout the entire duration of the stream. RedDekuScrub especially enjoyed the One-Man Mini-Marathon, as it reminded him of the "good old days" in which Mases would solo-stream games (such as Silent Hill, Darksiders, or random NES games) until the wee hours of the night. Due to the expansion of Zelda Dungeon and the conflict of Scheduals, Mases rarely streams anymore.
A few months later, on July 26th, 2014, the Third Annual Zelda Dungeon Marathon began promptly at 6:00 am CT. RedDekuScrub Moderated the chat for close to 24 hours (many times by himself) straight on the first day of the marathon before giving into fatigue. However, early that Sunday morning, RedDekuScrub was back and ready for round two.
Acting as a milestone in his "career"(?), RedDekuScrub was promoted to Head Moderator by WebMaster Mases Hagopian on Day two (10:30 pm ct) of the 2014 Zelda Dungeon Marathon.

RedDekuScrub was given the nick-name "The Alpha Scrub" by Zelda Dungeon staff member, Caleb Simpson and is sometimes referred to by that name.

RedDekuScrub enjoys giving warnings before giving out time-outs or bans. This is due to his belief that "We are all here to have some fun."

RedDekuScrub has thought very hard about applying for a position in the "Official Staff" at Zelda Dungeon, but is hesitant for if he were inducted into the "official Staff" he would want to be dedicated to the position, which would be difficult at the present.
