"Look to your heart. Look to your dreams. You'll find that nothing is what it seems."
Pasquinade is the boss of the Shrine of Illusion in Zelda's Adventure.
When Zelda first arrives at the shrine, Shurmak warns her about the deceptive nature of Pasquinade.[1] As she continues through the dungeon, she eventually comes across Pasquinade guarding a locked door, who taunts her and says to look into her heart and dreams.[2]
At the end of the shrine, Zelda enters his room and he greets her before attacking.[3] He moves around the room with cartwheels and spins with his staff which deal between one and one and a half hearts of damage. He also summons purple balls that deal half a heart of damage. She must hit him with her Wand nine times in order to defeat him. Once he is defeated, Zelda can proceed to obtain the Sign of Illusion.
Pasquinade reappears alongside several other bosses after Zelda collects all of the Celestial Signs and falls into the Vision Henge to fight Ganon. This time, he only requires three hits from the Wand.
