It's possible that Termina Field could be bigger this time as that is as big as it's supposed to be. The reason it's so small in MM is likely due to lack of time and system power limitations. Plus, if that Northwest part of the Zelda U map really is OoT Hyrule, then that only proves this to be more like the case as OoT Hyrule and MM Termina are about the same size in scale only except MM Termina may be a tad smaller, again, due to lack of time.

Also, just because some parts of the land aren't shown, doesn't mean there not there at all generally speaking. They might just be blocked off in this game for some reason. But that has to be Termina.

Plus, take closer look at my Omni Hyrule proof image:

Notice how I have the TP circle and the MM circle overlapping there? That's because the Ikana Valley/Canyon is in the same place where the Gerudo Desert is in TP. Proof:

I'm going to have to disagree. Why even implement a portion of Termina only to have the rest of it unaccessible?

If this Omni Hyrule concept is accurate we're assuming that “Hyrule” is one giant landmass. The people migrate to different areas and rebuild around somewhat similar landmarks? There are tons of “Gerudo” deserts and Ganondorf was born in all of them? “He hails from a desert in the west” well there are like 5 deserts that used to be in the west so which are we talking about?

It makes more sense for this to just be Hyrule as we know it, but in a much larger scale. It could also be taking inspiration from the first LoZ game which is why ZWU's map resembles the map from that game (that doesn't mean we should assume it will be reboot of that game, or even on the same timeline as it. All it means is that the developers are drawing inspiration from that game in particular).

Assuming you might be onto something, and this concept might be accurate, that would mean ZWU's overworld will be really big, bigger than I was thinking. If each map from prior games is the roughly the same scale as it was in the games they orginate from we'll be spending countless hours just exploring.

God, when I first say this thread I actually got excited, I liked the geography theories of Zelda, more so than storyline and timeline theories.

I am part of people that think that Termina is in the real world, nearby Hyrule. But i don't think that Termina have something to do with this Zelda wii U (even if some evidence are truly awesome).

My question is : is there two volcano ? Because we see a mountain with a black hole at the West, but also something that looks like lava near an another mountain at the North (on the map). In one trailer, we see a mountain with lava, on the North (regarding the position of the setting sun) and an other where the volcano just have ash but no magma. So, why not two mountain, and maybe that can reassure somme people's theories ?

After a while of playing Twilight Princess HD, I've been lead on more and more to believe my Omni Hyrule theory and TP prequel theory could be at least somewhat true in some way. I have found some interesting things in TP HD that spawned more theories that could involve Zelda U into the mix. I will share them later. For now, I can say is that it's looking like to me that Zelda U could very well be a TP prequel, whether it's before or after OoT or even SS, I have faith that Zelda U will have some direct connection to TP's backstory and lore, more so than SS did.

SS revealed what happened in the backstory past history of the sky world from TP as talked about from Oocoo, Shad, and Impaz (I think). And of course SS was also origin story of TP's Master Sword. And that's pretty much it regard TP connections specifically.

I think Zelda U will focus more on the Interloper backstory from TP and the Gerudo vs Hylian War. Which is I strongly believe the game might be in the Child Timeline. I also think there will be some Hero of Time era connections as it might reveal more on what happened to the Hero of Time after MM and why he became the Hero's Shade. That said, I feel like Shade should play a bigger role this time.

I all I've speculated so far recently is true, Omni Hyrule, Termina involvement, and Zelda U really is a child timeline game set before TP, then I can this game being one of the greatest Zelda games of time.

Very soon, I will make a video mini series explain more about this and my new additional speculation to add to my overall theory concerning Zelda U and maybe even the Zelda history and lore in general.

I'm planning on rethinking how I present my theories. My theorizing and speculation are going get better and hopefully more fun to talk about, I promise. :)
