Zelda Things I Mispronounce

I'm riffing off that Gibdo thread from earlier:

I got my first Zelda game when I was about 7 years old, back when my reading comprehension wasn't the greatest. As a result, I have a bunch of words and names from the Zelda series that I mispronounce to this very day, even though I now know better.

For example:
  1. Hylian and Hylia I pronounce "Hill ee ann" instead of the correct pronunciation of "Hai lee ann"
  2. Keese I pronounce "Kee zee" (rhymes with "easy") instead of the more likely "Kees" (sounds like "keys")
  3. Cuckoo I pronounce "Koo koo" (like the bird or the clock) instead of what I think may be "Cuck ooo" (although, this one I'm not certain about)
  4. Kakariko I pronounce "Kah care ih koh" (care as in "I care about you"), instead of the correct "Ka ka ree koh"
  5. Moblin I pronounce "Moh blin" instead of "Mob lin" (sounds like "goblin"). This one I actually think I am correct about, though. Based on the spelling, "Moh blin" is how the Japanese would pronounce it as well, so I take that as authoritative in this case.
  6. And finally, Link I pronounce "Zel dah" (joking :P)

What do you think of these wild pronunciations?? What are some things you pronounce strangely from Zelda games?

I started back in the day by pronouncing Kakariko as ka-kar-EE-koh but many years ago, I Heard a YouTuber pronounce it kuh-KAH-rih-koh and I decided that pronunciation actually made more sense as I think a the word would come to be pronounced this way in Hyrule. I believe it was Hyrule Warriors when I first Heard a licensed Nintendo property pronounce it the way I originally did but I bounce back and forth between pronunciations anyway.

I definitely pronounce Hylia the correct way since it's my oldest daughter's name (HAI-lee-uh although most of my extended family can't wrap their mind around it and call her hai-LEE-uh) and...what else...I used to pronounce Termina ter-MIHN-ee-uh. Ephixia pronounced Deku DEE-koo back in the day and it rubbed me the wrong way. Fun music by the way.

The kikwi look quite a bit like kiwis, so I think that's a good name for them!

I think I pronounce Farore "fuh roar".
