Zelda Refrences

Have you found any cool Zelda refrences in other video games or elsewhere?

In Super Mario 3D Land, world 5-2 is basically a huge refrence to the Legend of Zelda. The level is set up like a Zelda dungeon, with many rooms, the screen scrolling from one room to the next with an overhead view, just like the original the Legend of Zelda. There is also a puzzle where you need to light torches using a fire flower. when you complete it, you hear the Zelda jingle, and a door is opened to a star medal. I thought that was really cool

I haven't played Epic Mickey, but one dude in it says "IT'S DANGEROUS TO GO ALONE! TAKE THIS."

Here's a picture

Scott Pilgrim VS. The World was sort of one big ol' Zelda love letter (as well as bunch of other 80s-90s vidya games). The biggest reference that stands out is when Scott is dreaming of chasing Ramona and the Great Fairy Fountain theme is heard in the background.

Indeed. At the beginning of the movie, Young Neil is playing A Link to the Past, and the sound effects from his game are used throughout that scene; including the completed puzzle jingle and the item get jingle. Young Neil even mentions that he plays Zelda.

Scott Pilgrim really seemed to favor Zelda though. Yeah there was references to other games, but the Zelda ones were a lot more numerous. The only other specific one I recognized outside of the generic video game humor was the ring collecting sound from Sonic the Hedgehog. The rest was all Zelda. :bleh:

In Fable 3 you find a toy sword, and the description is "It's dangerous to go alone! Take this!"
In Mario Galaxy, in the rolling green star galaxy, before you knock down the bridge, jump ontop of it, and look down. There's blue star bits in the shape of a rupee.
