Rules
Rules
- Know the basic rules of mafia.
- Format your votes and unvotes as Vote: Player Name; Unvote complete with the bold text, or I will not count it.
- Do not edit or delete your posts.
- Do not use information from outside of the game.
- Do not communicate outside of the game except in designated Quicktopics.
- Roleclaiming is allowed. This can include claiming HP, spells, pips, and role name.
- Do not screenshot or quote any information from your role PM or any other PMs that I send you regarding the game. You may paraphrase.
- Do not post at night.
- You may have one final goodbye post after you have died, but do not reveal any information about your night actions, teammates, or suspicions. Do not post in the thread any more after this.
Lynches occur only if at least half of the majority is reached.This rule is removed as of Day 4.- In the case of an equal number of votes at the end of the day, there will be a no lynch.
- You may vote for a no lynch.
- You may ask for an extension.
- Please try to post at least once per day. If a player continues to not post, they will be replaced.
Game Mechanics
Spells and Pips
- You can cast one spell in the day period, and one spell in the night period. Unique spells listed in your role PM can only be cast at night, but general spells can be cast in the day as well.
- Spells cast in the day are public. Every player can see who cast what. Spells cast at night are hidden. However, general spells cast at night will cost one extra pip.
- PM me to cast a spell. You can cast a spell only if you have enough pips. You will lose the number of pips outlined by the cost if the spell is successful.
- You gain one pip in the day period, and one pip in the night period. Every player starts the game with one pip. You also gain a pip if you vote for and successfully lynch a player of another alignment. (e.g. Mafia lynching a Townie)
- You will receive a PM with your current number of pips and HP at the beginning of every day or night period, and after you cast a spell.
Attacking and Schools of Magic
- Each player has their own school of magic: either Ice, Fire, Life, Death, Myth, Storm, or Balance.
- You have a set HP. Players can attack one another to deal damage to their HP. When your HP drops to zero, you will die.
- Your attacks will do 100 extra damage to the school of magic who opposes you. However, you will take 100 extra damage from them as well.
- Life opposes Death. Storm opposes Myth. Ice opposes Fire. Balance has no weakness or advantage. So, for example, a Life wizard can deal more damage to a Death wizard than to a Fire wizard, and a Death wizard can deal more damage to a Life wizard than to a Myth wizard.
Day Periods
- In the day, you may vote for another player. If the day ends and a player has been voted for half of the majority of the players, then they will die.
- The day ends when a player dies, or when the time limit has been reached. If a player dies before anyone is lynched, the night will start early.
