WW-Wii U Wind Waker HD - All Known Changes

a nice change on the Tree Watering mission for the Koroks - on the Gamepad, the trees are all shown on the sea map, once you fill up a bottle of Haven water. So you don't need to make a list or particular plan of which islands to find. (The swift sail makes this mission very easy - only takes about 10 minutes of the 30 allowed)

Once you've filled up a bottle of water, your sea map changes to show the tree/islands. There's a little red tree icon in the appropriate island square on the map, for the trees needing water, but that changes to green as you water them. Very nice addition.

Another change, minor, on controls: to stop a swinging vine or rope, in order to climb up it, you hold XR on the Gamepad, not R, and then use your direction to go up or down.

Same thing for making a sail-less boat move slowly through the water, just hold XR, not R, and using the directional to make it move forward.

Again, these are Gamepad changes, and may not be the same if you're using the Pro controller.

The Gallery figurine quest also benefits by the changes to the game - your picto box holds 12 photos, and you can submit all 12 on the same visit to the Gallery guy.

Best of all, once you've got the deluxe picto box, any photo you take will show you immediately whether the Gallery guy will find the standards of the pic up to snuff - there'll be a yellow "good" star up in the corner of the photo. Doesn't prevent you from taking duplicates, but at least you know he'll accept them.

That means you don't necessarily have to take photos that follow Lenzo's strict standards (full shot with face). There are a couple of enemies/characters for which I only got a partial body shot, or even blurred shot due to movement, or no face, that was acceptable. Seagulls are hard to get - as long as you get it pretty close in, you'll get the gold seal approval. Saves lots of time in trying to get a 'perfect' shot.
