Why a Shiekah?

Shiekah= ninja= good at staying hidden and causing havok.
That would be the best way for Zelda to:
1) Stay hidden from Gannon
2) Perhaps start an underground movement against his reign
3) Help Link in destroying Gannon.

My 2 cents, makes sense though since Impa was her protector, and thus would have taught her everything she knew so that Zelda could survive once she was gone...

Off topic : Anyone else ever wondered why, In Ganon's tower, when surrounded by flames, Zelda didn;t jsut turn into sheik and jump over them? Eitehr Sheik was a 1 time transformation...Or sheik's made of rubber.

On topic: Maybe she was paying tribute to dead sheikah- there was a sheikah gravestone in the cemetary.

She didn't re-transform because the alter ego of Sheik was gone. It's not something she can just do at whim.
